Food is always good, atmosphere friendly and welcoming.
A small place with good food. Onion rings were exceptionally good. Service was excellent. I would go there regularly if I lived in the area. Wheelchair accessibility: There appears to be a wheelchair ramp at the entrance.
It's sort of Mexican cooking but had your meat and 3 vegetables plate lunc. I was craving a cheese burger. I had to search the menu but found a "Papa Burger". It was at least an inch thick, real hamburger meat. It was delicious, with mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, onions and pickles. And if your not very hungry, don't order one of these.
Mama Janit's had really good food.
Over the last couple years, we went to the old East End Cafe many times. It was always a great place to grab a meal. Good food, good service, and reasonable prices. The fare was very American. For that, I would have given it five stars. I read they had a change in ownership. It has. Now, it's a Mexican restaurant. It's good as a Mexican restaurant (at least the one time we went recently) but, personally, I liked the old East End Cafe better. It now has a different name that I don't recall. As a Mexican restaurant, the food was pretty good but certainly pricier. I'd maybe rate it three or four stars.
Mama Janit's. Food was good. Prices average. Portions were regular.
