The Home style cooking food was delicious. The Pork chop and sides were cooked to perfection. The fried green tomatoes were absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive during the busy lunchtime. I will have to try breakfast and I definitely recommend E&N if you want some good home cooking.
I have ate at E&N on several occasions and enjoyed it , but today was a horse of a different color. I arrived at about 10:30 it wasn’t busy at all but still had to wait a while. I ordered the Cajun Pasta and my mouth was watering when I glanced at it . I was just getting ready to dig in when I seen all these flakes on the inside of the top of the to go plate I dismissed it as seasoning but on further inspection it was bug legs and bodies. I took back and the owner quickly grabbed it and was like what do you want me to do , no apology or nothing. Be careful and inspect everything. It wasn’t even busy and he put my food in a nasty to go box image the mistake when it’s busy .
Great Ole country cooking. Best Pork chop I've eaten since mama passed. This spot is IT for soul food.
It was my boyfriend and I first time here and we are both from New Orleans, LA. The food was a 10/10 I loved it and so did he, he is a very picky eater (doesn't eat everyone's food) he said its good then it's good. I will be back for another plate, really great food.
E&N has some of the best soul food, wings, fried catfish around. I have been eating here for years and sometimes you have to wait for good food so plan ahead. The hater comments clearly don't eat out much or understand how expensive food is in general for small businesses to stay afloat! Cook at home if you don't like it, but you won't find many places as authentic as this anymore. I love the collards, baked mac, hot wings, fried catfish and hot water corn bread. They have good lunch special pricing if you want to save some money. It is important to support local businesses.
