Dump’s BBQ

We had a trip to Wesson for our son's robotic team competition. I researched to find a local spot to have lunch at while attending the competition. Dump's BBQ looked to be the spot, it had numerous rave reviews and we love our BBQ. We trek on over to Dumps for lunch with much anticipation of gnawing on some in house smoked BBQ. Once we arrived to Dump's, we could smell the smoke from the wood and that'll always get you saliva glands in a frenzy! We step inside Dump's and was greeted with a smile, from Mr. Dump. We sat down and then overlooked the menu, our son decided on the Rib platter with baked beans and mac-n-cheez! My wife and I decided to go with the "Big Dump" at a very generous price of $26.00! It's basically a sampler that comes with two sides of your choice, we went with the coleslaw and potato salad! The food came out swiftly and very hot! The "Big Dump" is the way to go, (Ribs, Pulled Pork, Pork Tenderloin, & Smoked Sausage), each bite of meat was incredible, smoked to perfection and tender. You don't need any sauce at Dump's! They have sauce, it you prefer your BBQ that way! Now, let's talk about the absolute best sauce, I've tasted in many year's! It's called "Dump's Sauce", this sauce will take your taste buds on an atmospheric journey like no other! It's a vinegar based sauce with many secret ingredients to go along with the base. This sauce was so good, we took 2 quarts back with us to the Ms. Gulf Coast! All we can say, if you're passing through Wesson, Ms, we highly suggest to "GET YOUR DUMP ON"!

Dumps is a great find. The food was good and the service was with a smile. I brought my car club to Wesson for lunch this weekend. We will be back.

These guys are the epitome of BBQ. I went in the middle of the day, where most restaurants are at their laziest. But, not only did I get my food quickly, but it was THE BEST BBQ I'VE EVER HAD! The icing on the cake, or if you will, the sauce on the ribs, was that they make their own sauce and THEY SELL IT! It's a 4 hour drive if I wanna go back, but I would go in a heartbeat! Happy 5 year anniversary, Ken. I'll be at your 10 year anniversary. That's a promise!

It was fantastic! We got the sample platter..pulled pork,ribs,sausage and tenderloin was delicious...mac and cheese and baked beans fabulous!!!

Small town restaurant, they have one of the best hamburger steaks I have eaten lately!!

08.31.23 *UPDATE* The BBQ is fantastic. The burgers - not so much. They're pre-made patties like what you'd get at a ballpark. If they were made in-house with fresh beef, then that would be different (especially for the price). Hopefully this can/will be resolved. I wish we could do half stars! To me it was more than a 4, but a fudge less than a 5. The food was really good, but (to me) the sauce and tea were a little too sweet, but the vinegar mix they had on the table helped to curb it for me. The pulled pork and ribs had great texture and flavor, and the beans were fabulous. Hubby said that the tater salad was top notch. (I'll just have to take his word for it since I don't eat it.) Our waitress, Miss Heaven, was so warm and welcoming, and our kids adored her. We will definitely be eating here again!
