Overall I was disappointed in my experience. Environment is kind of run down but in that its typical for the food to compensate by being amazing. That wasn't the case here, food was pretty disappointing, I tried the pork and shrimp dumplings but ended up just throwing away my food. I had a bite of what was supposed to be the pork dumpling but it tasted pretty bad, the shrimp one was mostly corn and I was caught off guard by that aswell. Overall disappointing and wouldn't go back.
all around mid lol. dumplings were quite... condense?? flavor was aight but the texture was really just not it for me. got the sampler and maybe the shrimp was the tastiest but definitely not good enough to bring me back
It’s always a pleasure to visit this local spot. They have the best dumplings in Manhattan… my favorite: steamed pork ones and the banana dumplings are also yummy I been coming here for the past 5 years! Please go and support nyc local restaurants
Delicious, fresh, handmade dumplings.
I grew up frequenting Mr. Dumpling and visited this Sunday hoping for a joyous reunion of my tastebuds and nostalgia. The staff is sweet but unfortunately the dumplings taste like they’ve been scrounged from under the bed. The flavor palate of the filling was akin to something a person might concoct if they were trying to salvage moldy and forgotten vegetables from the back of their fridge. The vegetable dumplings were chock-full of tart tofu and limp spinach. Another filling included whole kernels of corn. I am quite disappointed that my old haunt failed me. I will have to regard my joyous memories here as something only of the past.
The worst dumplings I have ever tried. Zero tasty and the shrimp one had 99% corn in it.
I got takeout from here as I was craving dumplings during Lunar New Year and was very disappointed. I tried the steamed chicken and cabbage dumplings, the steamed pork and chives dumplings, and the seared pork and chives dumplings. The chicken dumplings were an odd reddish colour and just didn't taste very good. The pork dumplings were better, but the pork was very dry, and there were barely any chives in the dumplings. If you're looking for authentic Chinese dumplings, I would not recommend this place.
Really good (and huge) veggie dumplings!
The dumplings here are absolutely ridiculous don't do yourself a disservice and Skip eating at this place if you haven't been here before
