We always went to the Gourmet Dumpling House in Chinatown. We did not expect the new one to be the same but we found that in so many ways it is better. The ambience, staff and service is better … maybe because there is more room. We go as often as we can and here is our visit on New Years Eve. The Owner and Chef Xuehua seems to always have time to say hello and offer her suggestions on what to eat. It is advice you will not regret taking. We will be going again in a couple of days. See you there. Parking: We always find a place by dropping people off and driving around the back or nearby where there is usually a place on the street.
Saw they making the dumpling there. No wonder it taste so good, it is fresh, not frozen. Also, they must have good chef to cook the dish right.
My god this place is incredible. The food is out of this world!! The watercress with garlic is unbelievable, delicate yet beautifully seasoned. The rice cakes with beef and the soup dumplings with pork were exquisite, the highlight of our meal! The bathrooms leave a little to be desired but who cares with such incredible food, helpful, wonderful staff, and a bustling atmosphere!
Food great and big serving. The crispy duck not oily and very tender. Huge menu. They serve wine and Asian beers. Our server very attentive and courteous. Very tight seating and we are seated an inch away from the entrance which can get too congested. Overall experience was good. Definitely coming back.
Food was ok; a little bland. They did not provide us chopsticks and didn’t package the food correctly, so it spilled in the bag and the sauce leaked over the car seat and jacket. Vegetarian options: They have some, but they don’t taste great
Great food. Dumplings are so good. Best General Gao Chicken I have in a long time.
