Absolutely unbelievable. Some of the best mussels I’ve had in my life, served with garlic greens, almonds and breadcrumbs. Just when I thought it couldn’t get better, in came the lamb sweetbreads, tender and beautifully browned, served with radicchio and onion agrodulce, hints of fennel seed and slivers of Birds Eye chilis; an incredibly well-balanced dish with sweet, tart, rich, bitter, spicy, and salty elements. Meanwhile, fresh brewed drinking vinegar (think kombucha) and an incredible variety of natural wines. Last but not least, ricotta donuts with buttery soft rhubarb, a rich dollop of yogurt, and a drizzle of olive oil. All served by friendly staff at reasonable prices. Pure perfection.
This is my favorite spot in Soho, amazing wine list, awesome music, and the food is PHENOMENAL! Highly recommend!
Fantastic. Very small space, great atmosphere, might feel close for some but I enjoyed it very much. Great service and wonderful food, clear and rational advice on the big range of wines by the glass, not condescending, and while natural wines are the focus there was plenty that close enough to the mainstream for those who fear cider ish overload etc. 5 stars.
WOW. One of the best meals I've ever had. The food is just exquisite, and I had an incredible wine recommended by the waitress too. Lovely, cosy atmosphere. Worth the money for a treat :-)
The food was just okay, and the service was the worst. Some staffs had no interest in their job. They poured different wine and loudly chewed a gum while talking to us. Can’t believe it…! Saying no thank you and no bye and whatsoever. Not going to return again.
Terrible service. A lack of basics for hospitality - never saying ‘thank you’ or ‘good bye, see you soon’ after the meal. Just interrupted our pace of dining
Great food and drinks, lovely variety. However the service could have been better
I chose to sit outside as a walk in for dinner so I don’t think it’s fair for me to rate atmosphere, but disappointing food and very little service. The fried cauliflower wasn’t seasoned and totally bland on its own, the sauce was nice but it’s hard to mess up a garlic mayonnaise. The asparagus with crab had less than a teaspoon of shredded flakes of crab AND had shell in it, and again no seasoning I could taste or see other than the parsley which there was honestly more of than crab. As for the service, I had to go inside to ask for the check, I was never visited by any staff during my meal, and wasn’t even given a napkin.
We really enjoyed our lunch at Ducksoup, which had been on our list for many years, so we were thrilled to finally try it. Our favorites were the cod cheeks and poussin—amazing, so juicy, soft, and the sauce was so good you'd want to drink it! :) The service was good, too.
