Dry Creek Grill

This review for Dry Creek Grill is long overdue. We stopped by for cocktails and appetizers before continuing to our next destination. The three of us had a wonderful time; our server, Christian (?), was sweet and attentive. The ambiance was sexy and dark, just as it has always been. While it may not look upscale from the outside, stepping inside feels perfect for a date or family dinner. It's a great spot for singles too at their lovely bar. Although, it was full the night we visited, it still maintained a comfortable volume, and exuded subdued sophistication. Service was surprisingly on point and fast with a packed house. It reminded me that Dry Creek is a hidden gem worth revisiting more often. They've maintained consistency over the years in their food and cocktails. The quality is not top notch but you get what you pay for and it’s very fair. Service is top priority in my book when dining out. Reservations is recommended, especially on weekends. Parking is ample in the spacious lot out front.

We decided to give DCG another try after a prior bad experience. Sitting at the bar, the expectation of service is higher. The service was ultra slow as there were not enough bartenders to service all the patrons. After 15 minutes of waiting, we ordered a bottle of Copain Chardonnay. We were told that the bottle was not chilled so they were going to chill it. We declined, as it would’ve taken at least an hour to chill. We were then told that the Copain Chardonnay was actually a red so we asked for a different bottle, which was $15 more expensive of the price of the Copain. Reasonable, seemingly, since the item on the menu was not available. The manager declined our request TO OUR FACE to do anything to accommodate the egregious error on the menu, and actually asked us what he should do. We paid our check for two cocktails and left. Here’s a customer service lesson; 1. Apologize for the menu error 2. Ask how to make it right, DON’T ASK US! And don’t tell us you can’t offer another bottle of wine at the same price. 3. Don’t argue with customers. EVER. Customer service is lacking there. We aren’t going back.

Food was good, but not exceptional for the price. Service was attentive. Pretty loud atmosphere. I likely would go back.

The food is amazingly good & comes in good size portions! The service was excellent & we enjoyed the atmosphere & friendly environment as well!

Birthday dinner at Dry Creek Grill. Usually a great spot! This time around not so much. Two main reasons: 1. $18 (pre tax and gratuity) for what seemed like a 5 calamari appetizer. 2. The service was subpar. Waited for everything longer than usual. For examples after we finished our cocktails we weren’t asked for another and by the team they came back we were done and ready to just leave.
