I’ve ordered from here on multiple occasions and the food is always delicious. good portion sizes too
We did a tasting with Umu Igbo Unite and I was so impressed. We had the Afrobeet salad, fritters (akara) and plantain with a DELICIOUS spicy stew. I had to leave before the last courses and I was so sad. Everything was so good. No misses! So the zobo (hibiscus tea) was so yummy. I can’t wait to have him cater my birthday party and to continue to patronize his business.
If you haven’t tried Dozzy’s grill it’s a must! Whether you are Nigerian or not, it’s the best Nigerian restaurant in Chicago hands down and the most exquisite from all the rest. It’s not only the food but an utmost hospitable experience. The details on the food like the cilantro on the Jollof rice and stew are great touches. The akara and plantain are fried to perfection and I’m usually not a huge fan of fried foods. Everything is so good, really, no misses here!
Honestly really great place to get Nigerian food
Last minute pre-order for a work lunch and Dozzy was very kind and flexible with me, he even delivered the order himself! It was the first time trying African food for many of my coworkers and there was something that worked for all of their preferences (both taste and dietary perspectives). All of the food was great. The jollof rice was very well seasoned and the chicken melted in your mouth. We will definitely order from Dozzy again - 10/10
Me and my colleagues left completely clean plates! 10 out of 10
Never tried this before. It was incredible some people be squeamish to try something new. If you like hearty and warm spices this is the spot. Excellent value for the price and extremely welcoming.
Dozzy's catered a performance event we were performing at, they might have stole the show! I have never had West African cuisine, after tonight I'm looking up recipes for home. I highly recommend anything off their menu, I ate everything I was served without an issue. Thank you again Dozzy's! -The Grates & Silis101-
