Cocktails and food are on a whole other level!

This is the perfect place to take your friend who comes to New York often enough that people think she lives here. Get here around 4:23 on a Thursday and you’ll only wait 40 minutes in the wind to get a seat at the Coop, where you’ll spend 10 more minutes trying to puzzle through their menu. Your friends and you will pick different items, curious if it’s actually good, but once the drinks and sandwich’s come, you’ll wonder how you’ll ever go to another bar. Cocktails are a few more dollars than the average New York drink, but the quality is at least double (no pun intended).

The cocktail was amazing and great atmosphere. I will definitely visit again & again at the next trip to NYC. I am a Taiwanese and feeling so proud to Faye & GN. Congrats for the success.

TLDR: Come early to avoid long lines. Cocktails are strong, small, expensive. Chicken sandwich was A+! This place is #2 on The World's 50 Best Bars in 2023, published by William Reed Business Media. Bring your ID because they always check. My friend and I got here at 4:30pm today (they open at 5pm ) and there were already about 10 people on line. The man in front of us let his 6 friends skip the line late in the game, which I was low key mad about. I asked loudly if he brought all his relatives. He did not reply. I can't help my sassiness! They took a few minutes to figure out our seating once we were inside. Strict 90 min seating limit FYI. Last time I went The Coop (back room) used to be reservation only and reservations booked up in less than a second. Now it's first come, first served for both the back and front rooms, which I think is fairer. They have different cocktail options for each room so choose wisely! First time trying the back room and we were seated at the bar. It's actually very fun there because you can see the 4 people behind the bar creating the cocktail magic! I got the Mango Sticky Rice cocktail 5/5- it was so complex and delicious. Much more alcohol forward though. My friend's Key Lime Pie cocktail 5/5- sweeter and heavier. Really tasted like dessert in a glass! They recommend this for later in the night but my friend is into sweeter drinks. I'd be happy to get this next time. We split the hot honey chicken sandwich with buttermilk and Thai basil. It was juicy, crunchy, sweet, umami, and all around delicious! The basil really made this sandwich since. I didn't think it was spicy though. This place lived up to the hype! Highly recommend but save up!

Best drinks in the US. Make sure you get to the back room to experience some of the most unique and sophisticated concoctions ever. The chicken sandwich was also the best I’ve ever had.
