Donut Star

We were at a hotel nearby that didn’t have breakfast- and found these amazing big croissant breakfast sandwiches!

I've been going to this shop for over 10 years. The donuts are excellent!

LOTS of different flavors and types to choose from- some unique to that shop, I'd wager-and the guy running the place is charming & has a great sense of humor (so funny). Donuts are really good, too- altogether, a fun & tasty visit.

This is our favorite neighborhood donut shop. They always have an amazing selection including sprinkled, jelly filled, fritters, long johns, and taro. My favorites are the PB &J and blueberry. I wish they had more indoor seating. Check out their smoothie and coffee selection, so many options..

My friend used to live close to here so we would always frequent donut Star when we end up walking around a neighborhood. Either it was our trip to Vons to get some drinks or a nearby restaurant we somehow managed to stop by donut Star all the time. It was a lot of fun coming into here and picking out the donuts that we wanted. Everything is delicious here but we really like the donut holes. You can never go wrong with donut holes when you've been drinking. I also like the maple bars here because they're Maple taste different from the other donut shops around. Staff here is always nice and friendly and they probably get a kick out of us walking in halfway drunk. They probably see a lot of it around this area. Don't start has been around for a while and I hope they stay around for much longer.

If you find yourself in the Balboa Park Hillcrest area and want sweets or a cold refreshing drink out of the box, try Donut Star. An Asian ma and pa donut shoppe thats consistent.with quality, taste and drinks that are well priced and varied. No fancy" paying for rent" prices place but on a hot or cold day/night, hot cocoa to cold blended drinks will comfort the thirst and sweet tooth of all. I had a small (it was a large amount) Taro blended drink and it was good. If u never had Taro, its like light syruped pancake flavor .

Not a donut fun stop to buy some donuts for hospital nurses tried one very much surprise delicious! Had a croissant breakfast sandwich delicious as well good vibes to you all
