Good cakes. The coffee was so so. The setting was ok but it felt cheap compared to what you pay. They probably thrive on tourists.

Known for their Cronut creation, and this month the cronut is Yuzu-coconut: Yuzu glaze and coconut filling. Usually their cronut gets sold out before 12 pm but since it is the middle of the week, there are a few left and I was lucky to grab one to share with a friend. The yuzu glaze isn’t impressive at all. It is just too sweet for me and there isn’t much yuzu flavor left. Yet the coconut curd filling, along with the texture of the Cronut, were a pleasure to eat: the buttery layers isn’t that flaky but more of a doughy texture (which I am subjectively biased). Combined with the curd, the Cronut is quite nostalgic in texture, despite it only came alive in 2011. However, for a dessert that costed more than 8.5 usd, I was expecting something more. There are other selections of dessert too. Last time I came and I had a cheesecake, which was so bad (tasted like it was in the fridge for days) that I decided to not to try other things besides Cronut. This visit made some alternations to that impression: the croissants and pain au chocolates looked really big and flaky. Maybe they will be on my next visit.

Cronut was good. Almond croissant a bit on the dry side. Nice staff. A bit chaotic.

The birds in the covered outdoor seating area feeld a bit unhygienic. They fluff their feather around and also discard their waste. I am not sure if birds are intentional cause the staff didn't do anything about it ( 2 of them came in to deliver drinks and tell people to wait outside for food, another guy cleaned tables). I saw a guy cleaning the table but didn't see any sweeping of the floor. There was no line at 11am on a Sunday. The cronut had yuzu oozing out. I feel like it is on the dry and stale side. Might be better when they are fresh ( right at opening). The cookie shot is a neat concept but not worth the hype. It is just a chocolate chip cookies line with chocolate. The blooming hot chocolate is creative but unfortunately very sweet. I wish it came in a smaller size. They were unable to make it as mocha and said the best they could do is an espresso shot on the side
