I'm so particular about quiche and coffee specifically, and this place HIT. I got the manchego, ham, brie and butternut squash quiche and it was delightfuly peppery, savory and creamy (with a beautiful laminated crust!). For coffee, I got a cinnamon honey latte, with perfectly steamed milk (and art in a small mug?? Girl what?? That's crazy talent right there). Staff was super friendly and warm, and even though I'm just visiting for a day or two, it makes me want to hop the train and eat here weekly. The atmosphere was cozy, artsy and refreshed me in a way I didn't know I needed. Great job guys! :)

Excellent food and service!

Dollop packs a wallop! Excellent caffe latte, cortado and cappuccino, fantastic quiche, delightfully friendly staff. This is my go to place for artisan coffee and baked goods in Evanston. My wife ranks Backlot on Center Ave slightly higher but the quiche and pie at Dollop give it the edge for me. Dollop 16 oz latte is served very hot with 4 shots of espresso that stirs the morning senses with delicious aromas of roasted beans and frothy milk. A dash of half and half puts everything right for my taste buds. The ham, manchego, Brie and sweet potato quiche is heavenly - light, fluffy, savory and silky. Amongst the best I’ve tasted and that says a lot as I’m about to turn 61 and have lived and traveled internationally for decades. The interior is warm and cozy with delightful smells emanating from the co-located bakery. In the summer when I had previously visited, the outside tables created a European flair, inviting one to linger and enjoy a 2nd pastry (yep - I do enjoy my food). Pies can be purchased to-go so save your baking skills where they’ll produce better returns. The staff are ALL friendly, kind and happy which makes me want to return daily. Thankfully my DIL was just accepted at grad school close by so will have 2 more years to visit. Parking: Easy parking and free if willing to walk 2 blocks that’s also healthier.

Vegetarian options: Products with gelatin are marked, and most pastries are vegetarian. Parking: There's paid short term parking nearby on Kedzie st, paid longer term parking on Chicago st and free longer term parking a block or so away on Kedzie st.
