I didn't see that coming! Amazing pizza! Nothing fancy, just really good.
Gelato was good. I had the strawberry gelato, and it was sweet and delicious. However, I recommend you get the espresso Gelato. It was by far the best one. They do offer samples, but you are limited to just one.
There was a charm and authenticity to this place that made it a nice experience for me, depsite the construction going on. I walked in and the cashier was conversing with 3 regulars in Italian, who then proceeded to gather around a table to sip their espresso and watch the soccer game on the big screen TV at the back. Sitting here, drinking my own espresso and eating my pistachio gelato as I watched the game from my own table, I felt like I was a part of something, despite only being an observer / tourist. I like going to places like this that offer something real, places where people actually gather and form bonds in their community. It's always a nice thing to witness and warms my heart whenever I see it. I really enjoyed my experience. Also, one more thing I should mention: it's cash only. But, luckily, there are 3 atms in the vicinity if, like me, you didn't come prepared.
I really liked it here! Pleasant atmosphere and excellent service. It's great that the canollies are being made in front of you. I enjoyed my stay at this cafe!
**Cash Only place hard to find these in Boston totally worth going I always get the cannoli's which are amazing. It's a subway style pick the shell the frosting and the toppings and the are priced reasonable. A must stop place while in the North End. They have limited seating indoors and a small patio outside but for the most part it's really a take out type place. Parking: Parking is on street but if possible best to walk there from a nearby parking garage due to tight narrow streets in Boston's oldest neighborhood
