Doc B's Restaurant

This was my birthday dinner and I didn’t want my family to have to spend a lot of money . I got workout steak bowl $20 with side of fries$5?, my mother got shrimp workout bowl and my husband got steak chimichanga with fries. We also got 2 teas and made in-house key lime pie. It’s was $100. Delicious and healthy except the pie My only down fall was my 80 year old mother had to walk up and down 3 flight of stairs. Located international mall

The food was excellent overall. I would pass on the candied bacon. I thought it was prepared table side, or at least warmed, but it is actually served cold. The ambience and the service are stellar as is to be expected with most restaurants in international Plaza.

We are tourist in Tampa and picked Doc B's because it is dog friendly. The owner or chef came to our table to discuss a food allergy before our meals were prepared. That was very much appreciated. The meals were delicious and presented beautifully. We felt the prices were qverage for the Tampa area. Our waiter, Alex was very attentive making sure we were all well hydrated, including our dog. Just had 9 wok bowls delivered for a business lunch. Everyone raved about them - so good, and a nice change from a standard ‘meeting sandwich’. Each of the 9 bowls were unique combinations and they got each one exactly right. Food arrived hot and well packed. Made me the hero of the meeting . Thank you!

Update from Feb 2024. I ordered The Wedge Burger without a bun and regular fries and the meal was delicious. The Red Ale as a rotating beer was also delicious but I didn’t get the name of the brewery. An FYI. The big round table on the patio has great space but it's a little too big to hold conversations across the table since there is a lot of noise from people passing by as they exit the International Center. This was a last minute decision to stop at Doc B after shopping at the mall. It was after Eight and we were given a nice large table on the patio. We started with an off-menu BBQ Chicken quesadilla as an appetizer which was pretty good and a Motorworks Octoberfest draft beer which was excellent. For a main course my wife had a Wok Out Bowl with grilled salmon, sesame teriyaki and quinoa, she said it was good and she would have it again. I had the traditional cheeseburger with blue cheese. The burger patty was great but the bun was really bad and I couldn’t eat it. Lose a star for this. I ordered the burger with buffalo style potatoes expecting to get large French fries, but they were small round potato cakes tossed in a buffalo wings spicy hot sauce. I couldn’t take the spiciness and the waitress was very understanding and bought me a side plate of French fries instead at no extra cost, so they get the star back. Went here for Valentine’s Day last night and Alex was our amazing server! For sure one of the best servers that we have had at this restaurant. We never had to ask for refills, and he checked on us multiple times. I’ve never left a review anywhere but with the over the top service that he gave us I had to write one.

Portions small for the price.

So good! I love me some chicken and waffles! Mimosas are $8 on Saturdays, what else can you ask for
