District Gelato

District Gelato is a delight! This place exceeded expectations. The diverse gelato flavors, friendly service, and cozy atmosphere make it a perfect treat. A must-try for gelato enthusiasts!

After a long day of walking around River Street I went with my family to get gelato. I was tasting favors and requested Strawberry Cheesecake. The second I put that tiny spoon in my mouth I tasted STRAIGHT PEANUT BUTTER! In a panic, I ran to the trash can to spit it out. I am allergic to peanuts and asked the worker does it have nuts? She replied that it shouldn’t have it?? As a worker, how could you not know? I asked my sister to try it to make sure and she told me she was pretty sure that was not strawberry cheesecake but peanut butter and jelly!! This is so unprofessional to have your gelatos incorrectly labeled, especially when you have some that contain dangerous allergens. We left the store quickly and returned to the hotel room after running to the store to grab some Benadryl. The night was filled with itchy skin and an irritated throat! I do not recommend coming to this shop if you have any allergens! Very unprofessional and such a deadly mistake. I am grateful I did not go into anaphylactic shock.

Shop was closed, attendants were inside. No “closed sign” or message regarding change of times. No one was polite enough to step out and explain what was happening or if we could come later.

Went on a Saturday @ 5pm, they were attending somebody and suddenly a lady with regular clothing ( owner ) said there were close with no explanation she walked us out and looked the door behind. It might just be me, but found it very rude and rush to get me and my family out.

Very fresh and delicious gelato. $8 for two scoops and you can try samples first.

Good gelato, I only tried the vanilla and chocolate but it’s a cute little shop with a cute sitting counter outside that is perfect for photos…I went twice during my stay after dinner on River Street with family

This Gelato was delicious! Light and fresh flavor. We are picky with our ice cream/Gelato but this tasted authentic and not artificial. I don't get the bad reviews, people are just so used to junk that they don't appreciate the real thing I guess. We were originally going to go to Leopolds but were not willing to stand on a line in the sun for an hour... No ice cream is worth that much. We accidentally ran into this little place and loved it, not only the Gelato itself but also the location was perfect. We will be back!
