SILICA GEL PACKET FOUND IN FOOD HERE. I came with my family on Valentine’s Day after having great previous experiences, but left very disappointed and shocked. After a long wait, we finally received our food and about halfway into one of the dishes, we found a packet of silica gel IN the kimchi jjigae we ordered. Because the packet appeared to have been boiled with the food, its white packaging appeared to be a tofu slice until we discovered it halfway as mentioned before. When we called over the Korean waitress (short hair tall build), she immediately took it away and acknowledged that that should not have been in there. She said she would take the dish off the tab and then asked if we wanted to have something else instead, to which we agreed to have another one made. We were gracious about the whole situation because they seemed willing to fix it although we were still shocked. When we got the check, she added the kimchi jjigae back on the tab even though she said she would take it off. When I asked about it, the waitress said that we had to pay for the replacement, which was the exact same dish. On top of that, she argued that we had already eaten the first one and should have told them earlier, even though we found it AS we were eating it. We were all under the impression that the replacement dish would be on the house as she said she would take the first one off the tab and OFFERED a replacement, and especially after such a HUGE mistake like getting silica gel in food! She argued with us more, and when I asked to clarify if the replacement was not a service on the house as we understood, she responded with a look of shock and disbelief. With all the trouble she was putting us through with her rude attitude and behavior, we decided to just pay our bill and leave. She was already getting an automatic gratuity since we were a party of 5 per the restaurant policy that she mentioned to us. She told us to forget that this all ever happened and rushed us out, not willing to listen to our reasons for being upset. We tried our best to be understanding, but the lack of professionalism on this waitress’s part was incredibly offensive to paying customers who could have chosen anywhere else to dine, which we should have as well as the other disappointed customers that night. DISH needs to do better with this employee and cooks concerning what happened to us. Clearly, from the waitress’s poor service, it does not seem like they know what kind of mistake they made and not even regretful to how they treat their customers. Please reconsider choosing this establishment if you want reasonable service and properly prepared food. I regret to leave this review, but after some days of thought, I believe customers have the right to know. Mistakes can happen, as inconceivable as finding silica gel in food is, but rude service on top of that is truly what makes a difference and this waitress failed in making things right.

First time going and i loved it so much! the staff was very friendly and understanding ☺️ I got the kimchi stew and some other lovely items and everything was amazing!! This place is super authentic and i reccomend anyone that loves k-food to go<3

Food: the side dishes are pretty good, and they refill them. We ordered beef kim bap and it was a little draw and has no dipping sauce-- maybe it's the korean way but that it would taste wayy too dry. Also ordered some korean seafood pancakes, which turns out to be just calamari, and the taste and texture of the calamari didnt blend in with the pancakes at all. Also ordered beef bulgogi, a little dry, and serving size is a bit small. but marinated well. Service: the restaurant was very busy and there were 2 servers in total! So the wait was prettyyyyyyy long. But otherwise the servers are friendly. Atmosphere: the decorations were good, the seats are ok-clean, but some tables are a bit too close and therefore leaves little privacy.

It took us 2 hours to get out of there on a slow evening. Every time we needed something our server was no where to be found. I got up 4 different times to check in with them. It took 40 minutes just for us to get our drinks (a can of coke and a bottle of beer) the beer glass came out dirty so we asked for another one. She brought back 2 glasses one of which was also dirty. Despite repeating our order multiple times because she kept saying it back to us incorrectly they still forgot to bring out one of our entrees, they finally brought the other one out 15 minutes later. There were only 2 of us and we ordered the same thing. The recipes have changed since our last visit and the food was not as good as it had been in the past which I could get past if it weren't for the poor service and price increase. Finally, after flagging someone down for a check, paying, and leaving a different woman, who we had not even seen the entire night, chased after us, claimed to be our server the whole time and demanded a tip. Wildly unprofessional, this used to be one of our favorite restaurants but we will not be coming again.

Love the atmosphere, they just a dimmer in the lights at night, since it gets too bright. Everything we’ve tried is delicious.

I'm clumsy with chopsticks, but can at least usually manage to keep them on the table. Not today. I had barely picked up the one I dropped when I looked up to see our server walking towards us with a new pair of chopsticks for me. That might not seem like a big deal, but it speaks to the level of hospitality we received for the entire visit. We had the Tofu Stick. Fried Dumplings, and the Beef Bulgogi + Tofu Soup combo. Great food, and a great experience, even if you are clumsy with chopsticks.

They messed my wife’s meal up not once not twice but three times. She had to eat off my plate.
