I was there today. They really need to tone down on salt. The pizza and chicken wings had too much salt. It was a waste of money.
As someone who grew up in New Haven and knows a thing or two about pizza, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the pies at this restaurant. I had been on the hunt for a good pizza joint in East Boston as an alternative to my go-to spot, Santarpio's, and a friend recommended this place to me. While it may not be the same as a traditional New Haven-style pie, this pizza definitely hit the spot. The dough was a standout, with the perfect balance of softness and firmness to hold up the toppings while still providing that delicious dough flavor. It was clear that the chefs put care and attention into crafting each pizza, as every bite was bursting with flavor. All in all, I would definitely recommend this place as the top pizza joint in East Boston. While it may not be quite the same as the classic New Haven pies, it's definitely a worthy alternative that's sure to satisfy your pizza cravings. Don't hesitate to stop by and give it a try!
Having explored various pizza places in Boston, Dirty Water Dough Company stands out as the top choice and our preferred pizza in the city.
Food was ice cold when we got it. I don't see what the fuss was all about when it came to their pizza. Never got my dessert. Edit: Food was ice cold because of 3rd party delivery drivers. I'll give them 5 stars for service as they said they would make it up. I appreciate that. I changed my 1 star rating to 4 stars.
The closest to New York style I’ve had in Boston. Nice and doughy with great sauce. The perfect pizza to order on a Sunday and watch football.
I would give the service 6 stars if I could. I order from them all the time, and everyone is great. The kitchen staff is great, the people at the front are great. I even completely messed up an accidently put in an order for pick up, and then realized AN HOUR LATER, that it was not for delivery. I called them and they REMADE the order and sent it to my houes, with no extra charges. What a great group. And a special shout out to George from the AMAZING service. THANK YOU!
Good reviews on Google. Got here and we disturbed the girl on her iPad. I wanted a slice. (Said thanks when leaving and nothing but silence.) Review is about the pizza... A neighborhood pizza joint that is great. Spent 5 days here in Boston and wasn't impressed with the pizza UNTIL Dirty pizza. First bite I noticed the thin crust was the fountain. Right behind this the sauce is recognized and then starts the enjoyment of eating this pizza. Just wanted a slice but went back for a second.
This place has some of the best pizza in East Boston I highly recommend it if you love good pizza.
