There are two entrances. If you go through the 8th street entrance, your experience starts in a glamorous walkway that sets the expectations for an enthralling brunch date. It took 15mins or more to walk through just because my date wanted pictures in every one of the perfectly staged areas. I didn't mind much. Wish I knew about the hotel lobby entrance, though. :) The food didn't disappoint for sure. Waiter was very good; more like excellent. Most definitely a cool and happy person. Great food. Add the bottomless brunch punch combined with the pleasant sophisticated atmosphere just set the stage for a very fun date and brunch. Thank you!

food was honestly very underwhelming. my french toast came looking messy, nothing like the pictures used to advertise. eggs benedict were ok. but not worth $60 so we didn’t even bother ordering desserts or drinks. and the 22% service charge is…

The food and atmosphere was amazing, unfortunately I can't say the same for our waiter but I'm hoping it was an off day. The drinks were great, menu was diverse and the churros are bomb. Great place for special occasions, highly recommend

We had one of the WORST experiences my husband and I have ever had at this location on NYE. If I could score them a zero I would. I have Celiac disease so I can’t have gluten and that’s why we choose this place when visiting DC for New Years. They offered a prix fixe 7 course dinner with wine pairing followed by the upgrade of the party ($450 a person). First, we were sat 40 minutes late at 9:15 for a 8:30 reservation. Then the waiter was highly confused on what gluten even was even though they advertised a GF option on each course. The service was a disaster. They brought courses out of order, feed me 3 courses with gluten, brought wrong wines out of order or skipped wine pairings altogether. To make things worse, we spoke to over 4 people that this was taking way too long and too many mistakes and we would miss the entrance to the party which we had paid $400 extra for between the two of us. I mean dinner shouldn’t take over 3.5 hours when it’s a set menu! Well to top it off the food made me so sick that at 12:20 am (that we were still at the table on course 5) I proceeded to vomit violently. The restaurant doesn’t even have a bathroom, you need to walk to lobby of the hotel and take an elevator to the 3rd floor. No way to hold it! So not only did we not go to party, but we missed the countdown and a toast, but I got EXTREMELY violently sick because of them and this is how I started my year. Left the restaurant crying! The Assistant General Manager, Shawn Redwood, witnessed the entire thing and said they would make this right and he would call us the next day to proceed with a resolution. My husband has called him now (he never called us or returned messages) more than 7 times since and we get the run around and no resolution every time. We won’t stop until we get a full refund as this was the worse experience of my life and I am a frequent traveler and never write reviews but NO ONE ELSE should go through this experience. This is in a Kimpton Hotel, Hotel Monaco DC and I am also reaching out to their corporate headquarters about this issue and the food poisoning that took place. Stay away from this place! Dietary restrictions: Do not eat here if you need GF food. I have Celiac and got violently sick even though they advertised a GF option per course on NYE!

Great food and atmosphere however the bartender nick was very rude he made my friend a drink from an open container that was sitting on the bar we asked him to make us another one from a fresh container he told us no and walked away but the floor manager jr was very polite and handled the situation very professionally……
