Visited Austin and visited after visiting other restaurants in this same location and decided to try Din Ho as I had not before but always wondered how it was. I can only say that I can not believe I missed out on visiting much much sooner. The food was so good. We got the orange chicken and the BBQ Combination, which were so good. Hot and flavorful, we could not stop eating. The waitstaff was great and helpful. I'm coming back, and when I do, I will definitely come back again to this restaurant.

Used to go there a lot but not for the last 10 years. Went there recently and was delighted that nothing changed! 5 stars across the board!

I had a fantastic experience at Din Ho! The service was incredibly warm and attentive, making me feel right at home. And let's talk about the food—the buns were heavenly, and the beef noodles were bursting with flavor. Highly recommend for anyone craving delicious Chinese cuisine served with a smile!

Filthy restroom, terrible service, cold food (when it should be served hot/warm), smaller food portions and increased price. I used to recommend Din Ho for anyone looking for authentic Chinese food in town. I don’t think I’ll be recommending it anymore and I certainly won’t be returning. With inflation, I understand changes in food portion and price. But service was unacceptable. Our server forgot to bring rice to our table when we ordered sautéed veggies and he didn’t even come bother checking on us until we almost finished the dish. We had to actually raise our hand to get his attention, and even then he took forever to get rice to our table. Was the restaurant busy today when we got there? Nope. A bunch of empty tables, not busy at all. We also ordered Beijing duck with a few other dishes. It came with a sauce that’s 1/3 full, and when we asked for more sauce, we were told it was gonna be $3 for extra sauce. We didn’t even receive the full sauce to begin with. And Beijing duck was really cold. It should be served warm in my understanding? Half way through our meal, they gave us the check and to-go boxes. I didn’t even bother with them and just set them aside. A couple of minutes later, a different server brought us the takeout boxes again. Were they signaling us to take the leftovers home, just pay and get out? Hey, we were still eating! I know they give checks to customers before they finish their meals sometimes when there’s a shift change but that wasn’t the case. And when they do, they ask apologetically and also ask for customer’s understanding. Not the case today. Inattentive (almost non-existing and borderline rude) service today with mediocre food left a bad taste in my mouth. It was supposed to a birthday dinner for my mom and I felt bad that I recommended the place for our family. We all left unhappy. Never coming back. ETA: Din Ho never had good service, less than average at best, but I enjoyed some of their food so I kept coming back. The service we received today was so terrible that even my dad who’s never picky, the nicest guy you’d ever meet, won’t want to return.

Din Ho is by far the best Chinese restaurant in Austin! They always serve our food hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious! I have been here so many times and am truly never disappointed!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Austin. I only wish it was located closer to home. Either way it's worth the drive everytime. We always order the crab soup with asparagus. It is so tasty and comforting especially when I have a sore throat... The Chef's Special: egg tofu with trumpet mushrooms and Bok Choi is a must have if you like smooth and chewy texture in one dish. The flavors are light and well balanced. The Dungeness crab is something out of this world. It has a nice spicy bite I cannot get enough of. The Three Treasures: scallops, shrimp, squid and sauteed Chinese vegetables is a delight. This dish is not too salty, not too sweet and filled with fresh seafood. It is now my favorite entrée as well. The portions are so large that I have three meals out of one dish and they keep really well. Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options available on the menu. Kid-friendliness: Family friendly atmosphere.
