Dimitri's Family Restaurants

Honestly, so disappointed in the experience I had here. The weather was nice, so I decided to take the kiddos to the zoo and then was looking for a mom and pop type of diner. I found this one and went for the first time. They were not busy at all, there were two other customers in the building.. One of which was getting ready to leave and the other had just been served their food. I placed my order, The waitress came out within minutes and said that they didn’t have an ingredient for something that I ordered (ordered the northerner , they didn’t have Canadian bacon) I said that’s fine, can you just swap it for regular bacon. She said yes ma’am and went on about her day. About 15 minutes go by, she brings out my toddlers food which was really nice.. she was hungry and I love when they bring my kids food first. However, another 15 minutes go by, and she comes back to the table and tells me they have no corn beef.. (The main ingredient in the Northern) at this point, I’ve been seated for a half hour, with no customers in the building and my toddler has already been served.. I explain that at this point I don’t wish to order anything else. It wasn’t to be a nuisance, but because if anyone with children knows their capacity isn’t very long. She probably would have behaved another 15-20 minutes. Which is not to any fault of the restaurant, but it is why I opted for a family style diner. They’re usually much faster and more efficient. Not this time. I was bothered because they came out the first time and explained they didn’t have something, they should have checked to see if they had everything else and not waited so long AFTER others at the table were already served.. And then they offered NO compensation or did nothing to try and make the situation better or experience more pleasent. I was still charged full price for Drinks and the kids plate. I don’t mind paying for food, they’re a business, I get it! But after the service received, they could have compt the drinks or offered a discount for a future order.. or something.. anything… they DID NOTHING to try and recify the situation. Needless to say , I won’t be back and encourage others to be weary of their menu when ordering.

I think they can do a little more clean. Make this restaurant smell nicer the bathrooms need to be cleaned. The food is not edible at all

This place has been around for a long time. It looks it. Dont let that put you off the food is reliable. Omelettes are good. And value for money is good. It is in a way a must visit place, just don't have super high expectations, and it is still way better than fast food.

This is a nice place to eat. My service was great she was kind and thoughtful and polite and my food was tasty and cooked perfect and great value. It is a nice relaxing places to stop in and have a good bite to eat.

The food wasn't the best however on a budget ; It's edible ! There were two waitresses. One was helpful and attentive. The other was condescending, rude to my party and even her co worker. Acting inhospitable and like asking her to help was a bother to her would cause any one with sense never want to return Pro tip Stay away from the meatloaf ! And if they seat u and your waitress has an olive completion ,has long dark hair , and speaks Spanish , Get up and move.

Came into restaurant @2:00 on Xmas day, was told can only get takeout. 2:15 another couple came and was seated at a table. 2:20 another couples me in and was also seated at a table. Were told are food would be ready in 3mins. Yet the couple who came in after us got there food before us @ 2::35. At this point we like we won’t our money back. We leaving now they saying ours was coming next. Why we were there 15 mins before the couple that got served. Is there something wrong with this picture or is it me? Never going again period. Thanks for nothing BTW!!
