Dickey's Barbecue Pit

Food was cold and brisket had literal bone shards in it. Place felt like a liminal space. Line was fast and effective but also I was the only one in the place so.

This place is horrible. It’s scary when you first walk in. Nobody greets you because nobody isn’t there at first. The food looks like jail food. They don’t really have lights in there. It’s very creepy to the point I had to get my money back and let them keep that nasty looking food. They also have an older lady there who looks mad uncomfortable working there. They really need to close down cause I know they don’t have no customers the way all the reviews looking.

Absolutely horrible!!! Purchased 2 meat plate. Sliced brisket and pulled pork w/ okra and slaw. Both of my meats were cold, chewy and looked like they were cooked about a week ago. The slaw was warmer than the meat. I could not eat. The guy making plates microwaved the meat on my plate as if i was going to eat it. Gross. Completely lost my appetite. You can get better quality food from the soup line downtown. Did not trust the meat or the slaw. Too risky. recommend never coming here. A waste of $13. YUK!!!!

I don’t know how everyone rates such small portion in photo for two meat plate. But I cannot rate more than 2 stars for a $19 dish. Brisket was dry and they missed chop/slice. I have to say that there are quite a few good bbq places around. It’s not worthy considering here at all! Btw, the owner told me to email him. I did the same day. No response of course. He just wanted to pretend that he cared customers while actually not.

If asked would I do buy my lunch here again, my answer would be NO. Should have known better - walking in at lunchtime and only one table has customers. Pulled Pork, BBQ Beans, Mac and Cheese. Pulled pork - small portion - ok. BBQ Beans - what BBQ? tasted like cheap pork and beans from a can. very bland. Mac and Cheese - oddly darker color yellow. Tasted ok but definitely nothing to brag about. Customer service - meh. When I walked in the door, the gentleman was on the phone. Seemed in no hurry to assist customer. Lady at the register said nothing at all. Would likely skip it the next time and try elsewhere The run down, beat to hell mini-van sitting on flat tires they use for advertising in the parking lot should say it all.

LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS! 3 of the 6 pieces of "Texas toast" were not even toasted and they're actually soggy! and 1 is an end piece!! seriously?! plus it's not even Texas toast, just plain white bread! The meat is DRY, more fat and grizzle than actual meat. The coleslaw is not fresh, definitely going sour. My 8 year old could cook better BBQ than this. THE WORST bbq I've EVER had in my life and I can't even get a refund. This place should be out of business.

I placed an online order for Giant Potatoes and I get a call from Dickey's moment later stating that they don't do Bakers. They will have to give my money back. Why is it online for it to be ordered? I am upset and confused about that. It doesn't make sense. The person on the phone didn't sound too apologetic. I will never order from Dickey's.

I walked out of there. No costumers. That tells pretty much. It was Saturday lunch time.
