We had ordered Tiramisu which was okay-ish. It wasn't sweet at all. I think they froze it a little too much.
Excellent food, it's a unique Italian/American menu. The quality is great and portions are nicely sized. We enjoyed the Breakfast Sandwich and Caprese Frittata. It was entertaining to see the other meals patrons ordered. The cappuccinos were very smooth. We experienced a problem with the service. The manager recognized it without us bringing it to their attention and discounted our bill. We will be going back to try other entrées for brunch. We really enjoyed the gnocchi and canneloni. The sauce was among the best we have ever tasted.
Excellent Italian restaurant in Pittsburgh. I ordered Gnocchi and meatballs. The red sauce it was served in was great. I would describe the sauce as smooth and well balanced. A real Italian red! (A Quick Note on Lunch- You order at the register, they give you a number then bring the food to your table.) My companion and I also split an order of risotto which was also very good. If you are looking for a great local Italian restaurant experience I would definitely recommend it. I plan to go back here so will update this review once I have had additional experiences.
Loved our dinner & drinks! So good!!! Greeter & servers were super nice & accommodating. Definitely going back next visit to Pittsburg!
Great sausage sandwich and loved the whipped ricotta!
My boyfriend and I went to Dianoias yesterday for Sunday dinner and it seriously was one of the best resturant experiences we’ve ever had. We know it’s popular so we planned on arriving right at 3 when they opened and we sat at the first two bar seats. It was a pretty rainy day so the bar ended up not filling up very much. Our bartenders were Caleb and Nami. They were so sweet upon arrival and we felt like we could settle in and not be rushed to start ordering right away. We started with drinks and first and had the spicy carrots to start. They were absolutely delicious. For dinner, my boyfriend had the steak and said it was the best steak he’s ever had! And I had the rigatoni in a mozzarella and tomato sauce. For dinner we had a rainbow cookie and a cannoli mousse. I highly recommend and we will definitely be back!
We typically love DiAnoias but our experience last weekend was subpar. Service was poor. We had a long wait for the food, boxes, dessert and the check. Our waiter was not very attentive or warm/friendly. I was quite disappointed with our experience.
