Simply amazing, the food and service are top notch. The Short Ribs is my favorite :)

Delicious bowl of pho at Di An Di. Though it's not super traditional with its lack of raw beef, it is worth it. Be sure to eat it with their homemade sriracha and hoisin sauce.

Came here for a casual date night with my husband. I love Kettl next door and since we were craving pho because it was so cold that night. This place started out on a high. We ordered two apps: crispy spring rolls and rice cake omelet. Both were delicious and had generous portions. I especially loved the sauce that came with the omelet. I also ordered a gin based cocktail with lychee (Vai), it was delicious! Very fresh. Now this is where things went down hill. We waited a good 20-25 minutes after finishing our apps for our pho (which would've been fine had the pho been good). My husband ordered the chicken pho and I got the vegan pho with mushrooms. They brought out his pho first, without the toppings. Then 5 minutes later they brought out my pho along with homemade sriracha (nice touch tbh), and the toppings. I wish I took a picture of the sad toppings (no bean sprouts, 2 small sprigs of basil, 1/2 inch of lime, and no jalapeños). Maybe I have been spoiled by other pho places? I don't go anywhere fancy either (Pho bang - elmhurst, District Saigon - astoria, Cyclo - lic) they all offered all those toppings. I was very disappointed in the broth. The mushrooms had an amazing char and flavor however, the broth was very salty, and there was an overwhelming amount of scallions; all I tasted were scallions and had scallion breath after LOL. The noodles were too soft because they were not your typical pho noodles. They were wider and reminded me of pad Thai rice noodles and lacked the chewiness and snap you get from al dente rice noodles. With all of that said! I always try a place twice. Especially because the appetizers and drinks were amazing. Perhaps pho is not their thing. I would come back and try their other entrees.

Rating based only on food. Overall 3/5. Tired of elevated, hipster mix on regular good food. I ordered them pho Hanoi and chai gio. Pho was so weird. It taste objectively good, but it's not pho. They have a quill egg in it and the noodles have such an awkward mouth feel. If you've eaten banh canh, it's very much like that texture, mushy/overcooked. The broth lacks the five spice fragrance. Chai gio was ordinary. Good! Very pricey, but that's what elevated cuisine is. I don't recommend it if you're just into food. Many people enjoy the environment and drinks. The best pho is NYC is Hanoi house. Unfortunately elevated too.

Really enjoyed visiting here. The large platter with the rice wraps was excellent, and we also tried all of their home made sodas which were delicious. Good service and fun atmosphere. I also enjoyed the pho and they had some great homemade sauces - I will say after visiting this somewhat upscale, young crowd / kind of trendy Vietnamese restaurant - though it was absolutely great - I did have a feeling of really wanting to visit a more hole in the wall kind of Vietnamese place - where usually I have found the best pho!
