Awesome fish fry, drinks, and service!

We stopped in a week or so ago. Pretty decent bloody with a nice beer selection The food was quite yummy Cat wait to come back!! Biba

Stopped here for the fish fry as it has been voted Madison’s best for a couple years. They had a great selection of fish fry. A lot of places usually have your basic beer battered cod but this place had three different options with different breading as well. The jalapeño popper dip was amazing. I ordered the vegetarian beer cheese soup, which was OK but I thought it would’ve been better if it had more cheese. It tasted more like a loaded baked potato. The fish was excellent and the waffle fries were perfect. The Wisconsin old-fashioned was delicious. I also had the Caesar salad which had generous portions of shaved Parmesan cheese.

I went to Dexter's with a group of 4. We were seated right away, it was not crowded so not noisy, & our wait person was prompt & friendly. He gave a great description of Brew Fries. They're the extra crispy & crunchy kind. Love them!! I had a Special of Salmon Patty BLT!! It was DEEELISH!! The salmon was moist & nicely seasoned, the bacon & lettuce crisp, & the tomato slices firm & a generous thickness. All topped off with a generous amount of mayo & served with sour dough bread. This was SO good that now I want to make it at home. Kudos to whoever created this sandwich!! My dining companions chose the Grilled Cheese, which was "fancied up" with broccoli in the generous melted cheese, & the other 2 are Vegans & chose the Impossible Burger. We all had great meals & will definitely return soon!! My only regret is that I don't recall our server's name because I'd really want to give him Kudos too. He was fun & attentive. We were there Sunday, Feb 4, mid-afternoon.

Nice neighborhood place to eat and watch the game!

For a local bar this place has an amazing beer selection and top notch bar food.
