Needed a quick spot to grab a bite to eat after a long day of thrift store shopping in the numerous establishments of Wicker Park. Chanced upon Devil Dawgs! Service was quick, Dawgs were delicious (paired perfectly with a Mexican Coke) with just the right amount of spice, French fries plentiful... prices on the higher end yet it was worth it. Bathroom was clean!
The food is fine but they charge like they are a Michelin star restaurant. Dont come here unless you want to get ripped off
Reliable spot to grab food. Hot dogs are good and have ample serving sizes. Prices aren’t that bad and there’s a good variety to choose from on their menu. They have limited vegetarian options but it suffices. Good to go with groups and there is enough space to dine in.
Used to LOVE Devil Dawgs, havent been there in a while since I moved out of Logan Square, but their onion rings are definitely not the same recipe and absolutely not a "bucket" and their burgers are half (if that) of the size they used to be.... Such a shame to see a great restaurant let itself go like that.
Kid-friendliness: Food and space is very kid friendly.
I was a little disappointed because the condiments weren’t evenly spread on my hot dog. One end of my hotdog had just onions and mustard - the other end, only relish. The pickle and tomato were a good touch. We also got a chocolate peanut butter shake which was so good it made me forget i’m lactose intolerant. Fries were also mid but chicken strips were dynamite. Gf says genuinely the best chicken strips she’s ever had. this is a big deal considering how many chicken strips she’s had in her life.
