Fried green tomatoes and the Colorado Lamb Chops. It's hard to imagine a better meal. Go here. Update... Desi Vega's has become my favorite steakhouse anywhere. Now, when I go to any other steakhouse I ask myself if it's as good a Desi Vega's. Sadly I've yet to find one where I answer yes.
The Steak & Oscar was UNBELIEVABLE!! Buddy loved speckled trout with eggplant.
Fantastic service and food! Little loud though, hard to heard conversation at table
Don’t go here, will refuse service due to the color of yo skin
Waiters were top-notch and food was amazing!
An incident happened where a black woman was asked to leave based on her attire. A white lady with similar attire was seated eating and was NOT asked to leave. Management has not taken accountability or addressed this. This is the second time this place has been called out for racism! Before this they were double charging black gratuity!
ILL NEVER DINE AT THIS PLACE AGAIN.. DISGUSTING FOOD AND RUDE
Food was terrific as usual. Our backup waiter was outstanding but the head waiter and "3rd string" waiters(?) were uninterested. Maybe Metry will be better
Based on the high ratings, I expected more and was really disappointed by the quality of the meal itself, however the service of the staff was attentive and the view of the park was nice. We ordered their salad of the day - some pieces of the lettuce were wilted and the avocado was brown in spots and over ripe. That’s reasonable for making a salad at home but not for $26 at a steakhouse. For the main, we ordered the bone in filet with a side lobster and then their au gratin potatoes. The bone in filet arrived gray and cooked unevenly, I imagine because of the bone. We asked for medium and it was a mix between medium rare and rare. However, they serve their food with these impossibly hot plates with butter on them that pop when they come to the table - so I guess it had a bit of a Korean bbq effect and we used the plate to bring the meat to medium…. The lobster tail was prepared well, but flavorless. The potatoes were chunked and covered in a bright yellow cheese. I’ve never seen au gratin potatoes prepared in this way and their method should be abandoned. Speaking of the impossibly hot butter plates for serving (which I would have declined in hindsight) they popped when they brought them out and now I need to figure out how to get popped oil stains out of the sleeve of my jacket that resulted when the server was placing the plates on the table and my daughter also got popped in the face with the oil splattered bits of her hot plate too. They should at minimum make the oil splattering plates an “opt in” experience. Overall, I’ve gotten better steaks at most national chain steakhouses. This was disappointing to say the least. Would never recommend.
