Heard about this place long ago from a friend. The fried pork chops taste very home made. It is not fancy but delicious. We usually come to pick it up and take it home to enjoy. The atmosphere is not the best. It is more like a fast food or food court environment. That is also why we almost never dine in. The price is very reasonable as well especially everything is so expensive now in the Bay Area. This is definitely our to go place whenever we are craving for some fried pork chops! :)
Delicious! The best chicken karaage ever!
45+ mins wait after ordering for teishoku
more like a fast food place. no service. everything is self-served, including water, getting food when ready, returning the tray etc food has generous portion, with less variety and sides in general.
Order and pay upfront at the counter, then grab a seat. They’ll call your order# and you can collect your meal. Simple and efficient all by yourself. Tried the tonkatsu curry rice and chicken curry rice, both tasty. Meat is thick and tender, coating’s crispy but not oily though the curry sauces sure to be on the salty side, so dipping is not as carefree as I’d like. Still it’s nod bad for a quick bite when you’re specifically craving for a Japanese curry dish (eg rice, udon).
Always our go to place for Japanese curry. Order with the staff now. No longer order yourself from barcode.
Nice Japanese Tonkatsu restaurant. Tonkatsu got a bit overcooked but anyway it's hard to find a real Japanese taste of Tonkatsu restaurant around bay area.
Manager doesn't allow patrons any tap water when their water machine is broken.
