Went yesterday to the Biggie Brunch and i must say i was very disappointed with the Sassy staff. The guy hostess who wouldnt give me his name was screaming at me i had to tell him to calm down then Stephanie the other hostess was rude also. The staff knew it was gonna be crowded if they aint wanna work they should of stayed home. I came at 330 i was told 1 hour to eat finally at 630 i was told wait 20 minutes the time went by then i was told my table was given away, The service was very unprofessional the staff was ghetto and rude and i will NEVER come back and i wont recommend the place

The food was delicious. I had the beef ribs. The host was helpful, patient, and accommodating. I’ve been here before and the food was consistently good from dine in to take out. The atmosphere is not quite my cup of tea but I’m sure the grown crowd enjoys it. I’m more of the family crowd. Both times I’ve been here it’s been extremely loud with music but when I dined in they did have a seating area that was a few decibels lower where my family and I sat. Overall, I’d recommend the food if your pockets can handle the two $$. I would recommend taking out unless you really want to see the presentation of the food which is nice. Parking: There is street parking available with paid meters around certain times but parking is kind of a drag around here. Both times I’ve been, I either had to circle the block for parking or sit in my car double parked and wait for someone to come out. Kid-friendliness: This does not strike me as a family friendly place for children but more for the grown adult crowd. In both of my attendances there was loud music with lyrics that would cause children to ask questions.

A live roach crawled into my cornbread while I was at the bar. The bartender killed it and said someone would come speak to me. No one ever came, so I flagged down the manager on Tuesday night, young light skinned sister with braids and told her what happened. Her only response was, “that’s a first”.., and basically walked away. No apology or nothing. She finally said we’ll comp the food ($8) catfish fingers and went back to work like I was the problem. Very cold and uncaring, that’s why I’m writing this review. You guys need an Exterminator. And don’t get me wrong I love deltas, but a live roach crawling into my food is a big problem.

The restaurant is very classy & I felt underdressed. The lighting was too dark for us (we were celebrating a birthday), but its a nice date spot. We had a decent experience.

Ok so I have to be honest here.. Been hearing about Deltas for years...born and raised in New Brunswick but never got to give them a try well. Last week took a friend out to celebrate their birthday and decided this would be a perfect opportunity to try them out mid week. Reservations were made for 730, arrived and had a short wait due to staffing issues, no biggie. Ordered a Margarita at the bar..it was ok. Buzz wise good..taste wise it was missing something. We were seated. The menu was giving me undecided feelings so I asked the waitress... she suggested the soul folk dumplings... and also the crab cakes. Both came out... I proceeded to open the oriental style container only for my eyes and starving belly to see these little flat dumplings that were supposed to have a soul food mix inside but all I found was collard green flakes...nope they go back. Ok now I try the crab cakes.. uhhh honestly not a real crab cake and I ate it out of pure hunger lol It was giving Restaurant Depot box crab cakes unfortunately.. Entree soon arrived after, I ordered the catfish with Mac and cheese, and yams with a Cornbread basket my guest ordered baked chicken and same sides. Catfish should have been fried 2 minutes more and some more seasoning in the batter. Mac & cheese was bland. Yams had a yucky after taste and whatever is being used to sweeten the yams is not a quality product. Cornbread add some honey. Uptown was watery. Overall for 115.00 food was edible. Now what I DID ENJOY was the Ambiance...it's a vibe in there & an event was going on which I am sure added to the vibe as they had a DJ and good music. Also all staff the staff were friendly and accommodating.

Highly Recommend! It's Good Ole Fashion Southern Food for the Grown & Sexy. Very Limited Parking so Valet Parking for $20 (as of Feb 2024). Warning for those with bad knees or bad backs, most of their seating is upstairs. I didn't see an elevator. Reservation are a must! Vegetarian options: Alot vegetarian option NOT Vegan, gluten free or dairy free options. Limited option not alot. Parking: Limited parking so it's best to Valet.

Some RU alumni met up for some drinks and a meal. Wonderful band and Dj. The food and cocktails were superb. The cherry on top was our fantastic service from Omar!!

Overall a wonderful experience for the most part. Paid using my Cc. Which the waitress took with her then returned it. only to find a purchase on said card from amazon A day later. Weird since i havent used that card in over 2months prior to using it at Delta on 02/22/2024. This has grossly overshadowed my awesome experience at the restaurant tho. I'll need my money spent on amazon back. I am thinking of a couple ways forward which wont look too good on the staff and by extension management of this establishment

I would give it zero stars if I coud. We had my Sisters gathering at Deltas a few months ago, and it was a bad experience all together. 1. It took forever for us to get our food. 2. The food did not taste good, there were many complaints amongst the group. My husband had the chops, and there was only fat and gristle on them, no meat! The server realized it and took his entire plate through the restaurant and to the manager and they refused to take it off the check, instead he brought the plate back, as if my husband would eat it. They then offered him another plate, but at that point, he was no longer hungry, so he did not eat anything. 3. The check was screwed up, so it took 45 minutes for the waiter to figure that out. 3. The customer service is horrible, they are not welcoming, and did not seem to care how if we ever returned. This is sad to see, because I used to hang out at Deltas, and have family gatherings there years ago, and things are not the same! Times are changing.
