Del Taco

I'm a VA transplant so Del Taco is new to me. A few months ago we tried it and was hooked. Today is valentine's day and my husband and I decided to stop in and take it home. It was a long day. They were running a 2 person crew the lobby was dead and the drive thru was dead. Yes I was greeted, but I insited they catch up and waited. I waited for about 10 minutes then put my order in. Cool. It was as I waited for my food that I sat back and watched. By that time 2 more people showed up and one up front on the line, the other disappeared. The skinny dude with locs seemed to be the only one trying to get the orders out. Tall kid stood in the front window like he was just there for decoration, couldn't even keep orders straight. The Chubby kid was too busy on his phone as he and tall kid debated something. The salad was right but missing the dressing and only had 3 chips on it. The fires were like cardboard. The burrito was falling apart. I said nothing and left. I'm just going to find another location and cross my fingers. They lost me on my second visit. Why can't people just take their jobs seriously?

Way better than taco bell. Love the crispy fish tacos. I wish we had one closer to where I live.

As a California transplant who currently stays in Kansas City, it was wonderful to visit my partner and find a Del Taco in the area. It was like having a little bit of home away from home. The food was spectacular, including the cheese quesadilla- which had the perfect amount of cheese. The employees that waited on us were nothing short of engaging, helpful, and prompt. This is now my new Del Taco whenever I am in the Tampa Bay area.

Way, Way, Way, better than Taco Bell!!!!

No words can share my disappointment today. Coming from CA over 13 years ago, I was so excited to see Del Taco was in the Tampa Bay Area. I made a special stop to pick up food on the way home from my Anniversary dinner because i enjoyed it so much in Cali. The service was incredibly slow and sloppy, the gal that took our order was great, she left me with the most unhappy and lacking customer service crew. My 2 burritos fell apart in the bag because they weren't wrapped as a Burrito much less in the paper. The fries were wilted and almost cool. They forgot my churros, looked on their screen said it wasn't there then I had to show my receipt for them to give me them. However, good news, they tasted great!!! I hate complaining, usually I just assume they are having a rough day, but this was deer in headlight. Hoping some staffing changes or training and motivation is provided to these young kids to raise their customer service level and the quality of Del Taco. Thank you for reading.
