I really wanted to love the food because this place came recommended by so many. Alas, the risotto was flat and under seasoned. Chicken was good but because the risotto it sat on was bland it kind of fell flat. Service and atmosphere is great though. Maybe I got the wrong dish?

Wow. After reading some of the past reviews of a week or two ago. I concur! My one observation was scattered! Low staff, disarray everything, no friendliness. 1st and last time for us. Dante’s needs to refire the Fire!

First time at this restaurant. It was not busy but service was slow and food was medicore. Drinks were good though. I wanted to like this place more but most likely will not be returning.

Came here with my partner last night for the Valentine's Day Special. It was $75 per person, not including drinks. Highly recommended by a good friend who has been there several times. The server was great and very apologetic for the wait. After being seated, we received a plate of bread and our amuse' came out shortly after. Then we waited over an hour for our first course. We were honestly getting bored, and noticing that other tables that were seated just before us received their first and second courses before we even received our first. The first course was good, but very very small portions, so that was disappointing after an hour of waiting. The main course, was delicious I had the salmon which was very flavorful and everything was fantastic. My partner has the beef cheeks which were extremely disappointing, not only tiny, but there were 2 mini potatoes and 2 small carrots, and 2 spam sized beef cheeks literally smothered in over bearing zinfandel gravy.... That's it?? That's not a meal worth $35 (broken down on the bill). He didn't even want to eat it but we did because we paid for it. Fantastic desserts, really well flavored and super yummy. Seating was extremely crammed and loud, I was hoping for a peaceful quiet and semi private ambiance (though I had never been to Dante's Fire and didn't know the lay out). It would have been more comfortable if there were 25% less tables and people around, everything was very loud. I scooted my chair back right into the next table over. Anyway, I will not be going back for any special priced "all inclusive" evenings, unless it is worth $75 via bigger portion sizes and less wait times.

My family and I had heard such great things about Dante’s Fire and made a reservation for a Saturday evening. After calling to say that we will be 15 mins late for our reservation, we arrived to a very disorganized and frazzled reception. There was no table available to seat our party of 4, but there were multiple 4 tops seated with parties of 2. After a few minutes of waiting and observing, we noticed that the parties arriving after us, also with reservations were unable to be seated, many customers seated at tables were only sitting with drinks, and there was a line of order tickets near the kitchen. The waitress who greeted us was struggling to keep up with the demand of waiting tables, preparing and delivering drinks and fielding arriving customers. It seemed as though they were seriously understaffed and unorganized. Disappointing experience and will mostly like not return.

What a disappointing experience! We made reservations 2 weeks ago and arrived a few minutes before. We have never been to this restaurant and have been wanting to go for a long time! We walk into a very frazzled individual who tells us she just arrived and all of the tables for 4 are taken, many of them with only 2 guests. We are a party of 4. There are other 2-tops open. She tells us she does not know what she is going to do, and that we need to wait a few minutes. People are lining up, behind us she is running around and is very scattered. She then tells us it will be at least 45 minutes to an hour, and we decide that we are going to leave, as it simply does not look like it would be a good experience if we were to stay and get seated. I kindly let her know we were leaving and told her it was our first experience and unfortunately our last. She had nothing to say. When choosing where to go have a great dining experience, choose one of our other great local spots. Others turned and walked out after we did. They seemed short-staffed and chaotic, and did not seem to care. The chef is supposed to be very talented, yet perhaps needs a lesson in business and customer service.

We sat at the bar, and it took a while for us to get a menu and waters. One bartender was physically present but mentally elsewhere. Staring across the room for long stretches of time or on her phone. Leaning on the bar, between us and the only other bar customer, on her phone, talking with her mouth full. Half our cocktails splashed on the bar during the "presentation". Pretty yummy drinks, very little visual appeal. We didn't realize it was happy hour, a nice surprise, so received two sliders instead of three with fries. When they arrived, I asked about the third, she said "it's happy hour" and walked away. Sliders tasted good. Once we got her attention we got a second order. Two bar customers, and she came to us with someone else's order. Close out time, she said our total out loud, didn't hand us our receipt, and leaned against the bar watching us as we got the money out. Which was weird. The room was great, but drastically and exclusively impeded by the poor service. When we first walked in I thought were were underdressed or doing something wrong. Seemed like we were a burden the whole time despite the fact that it was a pretty slow Sunday evening, we came in hours before closing time, and we were ready to spend money on drinks and dinner. The reputation of the place brought us there, and while the flavors were good, nothing makes up for faulty service. Peace out. Good luck.
