Dano's Heuriger on Seneca

This is one of the few times 5 stars is not enough. Everything about Dano’s was better than excellent! We ordered the schnitzle (gluten free), goulash, spatzle, red cabbage, mashed potatoes and sauerkraut for our main course. Each dish was spectacular although the goulash stole the show. For dessert it was braised pear and strudel. Both delicious but the strudel was amazing. The mulled wine was also great! Service was impeccable. I only wish we got there earlier to see the sunset and the lake. Dietary restrictions: Many items are listed as GF or they can make them special. Like the schnitzel!

The scenery is gorgeous, with the restaurant being right on the shore of Seneca lake, and amongst several beautiful vineyards. The atmosphere inside is warm and welcoming, with great views. Everything we ordered was delicious, from the artisanal bread to the pork platter and chocolate torte. The wine selection was excellent, as was expected.
