They are now open and I truly hope the residents of Garland and Richardson support this cool, unique place. At this time, it is buffet style and focused on Danang city specialties. I have been to Danang, which makes me familiar to the cuisine. Positives: Great outdoor patio for eating your dessert or drinks and relaxing. Banh xeo is scrumptious and close to what you would eat in Danang. Atmosphere is modern and clean. Good service. Banh nam in a banana leaf is very tasty but you have to request it. It is awesome to have true Danang city food here in Richardson. Danang, Vietnam really has some of the best food in any city on this planet. Negatives: Management needs improvement on handling customer questions. They should let customers know how to eat the food and explain it better. The owner should be more visible and involved during service, especially since this is the Grand Opening. The soup flavors could be improved. Fish cake soup is tough and dry. Mi Quang could use more flavor. Do not microwave the soup broths would be my advice. Throw away the microwave. Customers not from Danang city will not understand how to wrap the banh xeo, unless they see a video or are instructed by the servers. They need rice paper wraps and instructions on which vegetables to wrap it with like a spring roll. The same goes for which vegetables go in which soups. They could offer more desserts. The price is too high at around $15. They need more appetizers. I would actually recommend changing the model and have a lower priced buffet for lunch and make dinner a small menu with more drinks and desserts. They need music on patio and possibly TVs.
Best Vietnamese buffet in Dallas. I love their soups and the vegetables/herbs are always fresh. Prices have gone up since they first opened but I think that's just due to inflation, so not gonna blame them for it. Taste/Quality of food has been very consistent in my experience which is great!
Not open during posted business hours.
I entered this restaurant a dumb, stereotypical American, and I left a dumb, stereotypical American despite the patient and determined efforts of the staff. Some day I will return and leave with a belly full of something other than the customary French fries, fried rice, and other offerings catered to the unprepared.
I really enjoyed the all the food here. I tried all dishes and they were all delicious
I haven't been to DaNang Souphouse since before the pandemic. It was good then, and it is even better now. Give that yellow noodlle soup a try.
Good food and service. Not a lot of options but it was fine. It was enough to fill you up.
