Damon's Steak House

Truly a place to visit! The decor was beautiful and historical with the murals and items around since 1937. With Trader Vic's and Don the Beachcomber gone, we hope this tropical themed gem sticks around. The food was very delicious! but the presentation did not match the ambiance or price. We were still happy with our experience. The hostess and manager were very kind. Definitely coming back when they get their tiki mugs in!

Ok, so where do I start? First off, my husband and I are from Vegas. We came to visit Universal Studios and stayed in Glendale. We looked for local restaurants and spotted Damon’s with a 4.5 review. We’re also extremely confused by such high reviews and shocked at how bad the food really was. The house salad was awful, not even exaggerating. It was basically thousand island dressing, tiny sliced beets that tasted like it was canned, chopped lettuce that didn’t look fresh. We ordered the brisket and pulled pork combo. It was salty, saturated in sauce and not appealing at all. The server was very friendly, nothing against him because he’s not at fault but it was apparent to him based on almost all dishes left on the table intact. We paid for what we ordered and drove down the BJ’s for a decent meal. Maybe it’s because I didn’t order a steak??? You couldn’t pay me to eat here again.

We just go for the chi-chi's, potato skins, and atmosphere. Wonderful all around and the staff is friendly and memorable. It's a gem in Glendale.
