They are horrible in every way. Very limited menu, the food was disgusting and the server tried to charge me for taking a bite and not liking it. 0-10, don’t recommend

We came from out of town. This was our first time here. We highly recommend this place. The place was clean. The restroom was clean, but there wasn't a latch on the door. So, trying to hold it closed while using the restroom was interesting. (The big stahl) lol From the moment we walked in, the manager greeted us and made us feel welcome. We had a large party, and we were willing to split up, but he made it work out so we didn't have to. Our server was Lakesha (I believe that's her name. I really hope I got it right. She deserves the recognition) She has only been a server for 2 months in her life, and you couldn't tell. Normally, I can spot new people, but she was on point with keeping drinks up, communicating, and checking on us throughout our meal. The only advice I would give her from a customers standpoint that irks me is to get in the habit of not placing food or drinks near small kids unless the parents say it's OK. She set the 15 month olds gumbo within reach of him. She's new, and I know if that's the only thing I would critique her on, she's going to make a lot of money in this industry! She also made great suggestions and was up front about what she thought about things. It helped me lean toward trying something new, so I appreciate that. The food tasted good. My husband had the blackened catfish. He said it was good, but it wasn't blackened enough in his opinion. He'd give it a 4.5/5. I had the country fried steak. I'd give it a 4/ 5. It was good, but I felt like they did need to season it more. Their jambalaya was good. I like spicy. It wasn't spicy. I'd give it a 4.5/5. The gumbo was good. We gave it a 4/5. The crawfish hushpuppies were something I had never had before. Those were amazing. 5/5. The blackened alligator is something we've never had. I can't have if it needed to be blackened more, but the flavor was on point! 5/5 for sure! My daughter got the French toast. It wasn't overly sweet like most French toast is. It was tasty. 5/5. My grandson had the burger. He ate it up, so I can only assume it was a 5/5. We tried the fried green tomatoes for the first time. It wasn't really for us, but my grandson liked it. We ordered the bloody Mary and got the buy one get one. We ended up buying a bottle of the mix to bring home. Overall, our visit was worth it. It's worth coming back to. We are hard critics. We judge hard bc most places don't season food very well if at all bc salt and pepper is not seasoning if that's all you're using.

Got takeout so it's hard for me to do a full review beyond the food. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre at best and probably more on the side of terrible. I got the shrimp poboy on the suggestion of the waitress. The best part was the hot sauce packet because otherwise the entire sandwich had zero flavor beyond copious amounts of salt. The shrimp were overcooked and looked more like the stuff out of a freezer than the fresh you might expect at the price. The "onion" rings that I added were the same way. I put onion in quotes because half way through I have yet to encounter any onion... Needless to say, I did not enjoy my dinner.

Excellent food, Bloody Mary was perfect. I had the sampler platter at the bar which was outstanding and large! Anthony was an amazing bartender who provided excellent service and great menu advice. I will definitely return!

They serve po boy with a slice of craft cheese. Enough said. The cajin fries are just salty fries literally!
