I called in on a Friday before my brother's birthday that Saturday to ask for an ice cream cake. The manager informed me that they require a minimum 3 day notice for cakes so I was resolved to pick one up from HEB. She generously offered to prepare the cake as long as I went in that same day to pay for it. She asked me what I wanted and I kept it simple. An 8" cake with Oreo cookies and cream ice cream. It was a surprise for my brother! To think that she would extend such generosity at a location I know is frequently busy is exceptional service. I know I shouldn't expect this again as the restaurant needs prep time, but in this moment it was an amazing display of goodwill. My brother was happy and surprised, exactly what I wanted. When we FINALLY cut into the cake it was so delicious. We always enjoy Dairy Queen ice cream and now we have a wonderful memory of it. I'm actually sad I didn't take a picture but we were ready to eat! Thank you for taking care of us!!
