Consistently good with friendly staff.
I like that it's not in the center of everything. Gives it a nostalgic feel.
It has become so overpriced.. the icecream is still great but i wouldnt eat anything else from the menu
Awesome ice cream joint for the grandkids!!!!
Here me out! Usually, the food and sevice is really good; however, this time was different and not in a positive manner. We went to a different dairy queen first (the one on Mt. Rushmore) and they were closed tonight - maybe due to staffing but I'm not sure. We went to the one on Canyon Lake and though the food was good, the service was not. I got the $7 deal and with the Mt. Rushmore one and (some of the ones in Iowa) has allowed me to substitute the Sunday for a cone or has allowed me to pay for the Sunday but just give me a cone instead. I don't like Sundays and I go year round for a CONE especially for a dipped cone as the cool weather during winter lets the dipped stay softer for a longer period of time. The dairy queen could not give me a cone and would only allow me to upgrade for a blizzard even though a cone is literally cheaper than both a Sunday and blizzard. I asked if I could just pay the same price or upgrade for a blizzard so it works on their side but just give me a cone and still refused it...what's so bad about a cone that this dairy queen couldn't give me a cone? I guess I'm a bit bummed and frustrated because the Mt. Rushmore one gives me it all the time without even hesitating or really caring about the substitute. This is why it gets a lower rating than what I would have wanted to give.
Blizzard items are quite spendy, but the food (fries, cheeseburger) are reasonable. The comfort room (toilet) needs attending due to a lot of traffic during lunch hours.
