Fantastic food. The person who served us was really nice. Portions sizes were great. You can orde, Al la cart or as a meal. Really good spot. AC and bathroom didn't work when we were there, that was the only reason I didn't give it higher starts on the atmosphere.
The place looks not well taken care of and a little sketchy. The food was alright but it could’ve been better, or at least I was expecting much more. The rice and Mac salad seemed to be not fresh, like they were just sitting in the fridge for 2 days. The restroom is out of service for customers which can be a huge inconvenience.
Traditional Hawaiian food is a bit bland and not as presentable when served. Food is okay but I feel it can be a lot better. The salmon/tomato/onion had a slight fishy taste. The fried fish also. In this day and age, that shouldn't be the case. Lastly, the washroom was out of order. In a restaurant that shouldn't ever be the case.
The squid lūʻau is not squid lūʻau at all. Neither is the haupia. The kālua pig, poi, & lomi salmon were good.
Delicious food- I really really enjoyed my meal! Lots of options, plenty of food, and super friendly people. They were so sweet and also showed us how to properly eat poi. Cons: no restroom. We enjoyed our meal so much we went twice in the span of a week.
It is a good place to eat with good food and nice staff.
Absolutely recommend this place for Hawaiian food! Amazing food, good-sized portions and great, friendly customer service! The laulau here is huge with lots of meat and great flavor. I ordered a Laulau BBQ short rib combo plate with rice and the large portion poi. It was a little more expensive for this combo but worth the cost. Lomi salmon was perfectly prepared slightly salty, the sweet potato was soft and moist, chicken long rice was slightly chunky with chicken meat without bones, poi was fresh, all of it was delicious. Not a lot of seating at this place but you can also take-out or use uber eats for delivery. Mahalo for the ono Hawaiian food!
Food was delectable!! This is the closest to Filipino food here in Waikiki. We love it. Simot sarap. Lechon Kawali is the bomb!!! Also the haupia was very good, it was like a maja. Spicy Ahi Poke is the best I've tasted here in Waikiki. They also serve plain white rice (very Pinoy), that's a plus one. Atmosphere 4 stars, Seating is few, they only had 4-5 tables inside. No restroom. It's very carenderia style kind of resto. Love it!
We were recommended the spot by one of our Uber drivers for Hawaiian food, and we were not disappointed. The bbq beef short ribs were SO good, highly recommend! The service was quick as well.
