Drive thru kind of busy, but worth waiting for my large fries.

Went there as I do every morning for a coffee. When I went to the first window to pay, did a tap and the person took the machine, never said a word and I drove to the next window. The person there said the payment did not go through and then proceeded to tell me that I have to walk back to the other window to tap again because they do not have a machine at the 2nd Window. There was another car behind me at the payment window, I had absolutely no room to exit my vehicle because I get close to the windows so no one has to really reach. I told her there is no way I am walking back, this is a drive through and why did the payment person not tell me my payment didnt go through. I got total attitude, no options given, nothing, I then paid by cash which she never said I could if possible and that seemed to be another ordeal and had to wait for her to get change. I go to this same McDonald's "EVERY" morning and have been for the past 5 years and am now thinking maybe I need to start going to Tim Hortons.
