This is the ONLY place in Boston/Greater Boston where you can get the real french experience. I was born there and grew up there, this is exactly what you'll find in France. Meaning, it's light, tasty and delicate. These are fluffy. It's not like the american version (heavy, overly sweet, dense). The next best place (french bakery) is in Falmouth MA. The brioche was delicious, pain au chocolat, croissant, MERCI! I'll be back!
This is the real deal friends. Don't go anywhere else. Its a tradition well over 110 years old. You know its time tested :)
Everything was excellent.... The baker wasn't happy with how one of the items came out so they were giving out samples... That's dedication to the craft
The pastries look delicious. I only tried a few varieties so far . I love a good baguette( french bread) . Unfortunately, having gone in several times , I live around the corner, the baguettes ends are always burned . I refuse to pay a sandwich for whatever price that is burned ! I asked one of the bakers why that is and his answer was to get it crunchy . Being from Europe and having lived in France for years, most of my youth actually , crunchy is great ,but burnt is not. Very unfortunate and disappointing ! I guess I'll continue to buy at competition who manages to bake a fantastic French bread that's crunchy and not burned.
A minimalist bakery with flaky sweet breads I got a pain au chocolaut. It was really flaky, and the chocolate was very rich. It isn’t a 5 stars because the pastry wasn’t as buttery as I wanted
Best baguette. Merci Cremeux! En tant que Française, je peux apprécier la qualité du produit. As a french citizen, I appreciate the quality of products.
Croissants are good and authentic Parisian (light, buttery, and crispy exterior). Baguette is okay, but coffee is pretty bad. I expect a lot more sophistication if you’re charging $4.50 for a cappuccino, but it’s served in a 16 oz Dixie cup and poorly made
Love this place in Coolidge Corner. The desserts are the right amount of sweet. The staff is friendly and the place has a lovely European vibe.
the person working on Sunday was very sweet and the food was delicious! had a wonderful latte, croissant, and sandwich and I'll definitely be back
I had pain suisse and kouign amann. Both had well-defined layers that were flaky on the outside and soft on the inside. So tasty! The owner mentioned that going earlier in the day would ensure that there are more variety of viennoiserie. I'll definitely visit in the morning next time!
