Criollas | Baked Empanadas - Turnstyle Underground Market

First time to this location. Decided to purchase 3 empanadas and 1 alfajor. I ordered the beef, spinach, and cheese. Upon trying the beef a few minutes later I felt sick to my stomach and had to hit the toilet. The empanadas tasted great,so as far as flavor it was on point. But I'm wondering if it was the meat or something else in the preparation. Initially I thought it was me, but then my wife also felt sick to her stomach after eating the spinach with cheese. Decided to throw the rest away thinking it could have been contaminated. Disappointed, was looking forward to an actual baked empanada.

These are so good! I just tried 2 at first to know how they are but ended up buying 3 boxes. The chimichuri is perfect. Their empanadas are packed and filled with flavors. It’s a bit pricey but worth it.

The empanadas are delicious (I love the Argentine Malbec beef) and the owner is extremely kind. Reasonably priced; one empanada is a good lunch or snack. Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian options

Las empanadas más ricas que comí. Soy Argentina, vine de visita y quedé sorprendida. El relleno es muy abundante, son bien caseras, fabricadas al horno, bien sanas. Voy a volver.
