My husband and I started making Cracker Barrel on Lowrance Dr. in Memphis our every Saturday morning breakfast place. We did this because I really liked the pancakes. I would always get Mommas Breakfast (pancakes, eggs, bacon). Over time, and rather quickly, the quality of the food diminished. The pancakes became thicker, tough, and often dry. The last two Saturdays, the pancakes were also cold. I have my eggs cooked over well which can be done properly but aren't done properly here. Last Saturday I sent the eggs back as they were as hard as leather. The bacon is hot or miss. Sometimes it's ok, sometimes it's so overcooked that it's black. It seems as though the objective of the cook is to get the food out as quickly as possible, giving no thought to quality. Unfortunately, we are looking for another place for our Saturday morning breakfast. I must give credit where credit is due: the hostess and the servers are wonderful. They are caring and hard working and always make me feel welcomed.

Ordered online. I got there amd order took another 40 minutes after the time they stated. Then, order was warm not hot. We were missing bacon and eggs from one of the meals. Didn't bother take a fuss as I am just fed up.with this location. It's always something with this location...always!

It took over a hour to pick up food. I do not recommend getting anything from here.

We went to Cracker Barrel for what we thought would be a predictable meal with good vegetable choices. We were seated in an area that had food and napkins on the floor in several areas and appeared to have been that way for a while since the restaurant was not crowded. Our server appeared to be a new employee but he could use some training to communicate more clearly and better. Our food was barely warm and didn’t have much flavor. My husband’s food was not as ordered but we didn’t send it back because service was slow. We received our bill and noticed we were charged for an item that my husband ordered but didn’t get on his plate. We brought this to the attention of the server who said he would speak to the manager. After waiting 8-10 minutes , the server returned with a corrected ticket. While waiting to pay, the manager came out and approached my husband asking, “what’s up?” There was no professionalism and only mild concern on his part. I asked who was doing quality control in the kitchen because they did not do a good job with our food and he did not respond. We have no plans to eat at this location again but felt it important because this is far below what we expected from Cracker Barrel.

It's a lukewarm vibe. The location itself usually does okay on our food when our family goes, but the service is usually poor in terms of how slow it can be even when the place is dead in terms of total customer base. And I'll even go further and say most of the staff has a decent enough attitude socially speaking, just very slow like you may finish your drink and be waiting for a refill for a long long time type stuff. Overall I don't hate the location as it doesn't just fail all over the place, but it does fail in some ways that fall under general work ethic of staff and staff enthusiam seems low. My gut feeling is the management at this location must be poor at keeping their staff motivated and happy. Work is work but I've been enough places to know when I see signs of potentially bad management wearing down the few employees they have.
