Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

This is such a wonderful place to eat. Food is always delicious, service is always great. It can get a little loud. So if you don't like real loud places or have a kiddo that has sensory disorders. Then I'd probably take some headphones for them, or Just order it to-go. Kid-friendliness: My kids love this place.

It took us 1 and 1/2 hours to get the first of our food. Then 1/2 of the orders got lost and our group didn’t get to eat together. Note: it was not crowded at all.Some food was cold, quality of some dishes is not up to want we expect when we frequent Cracker Barrel. Some food did not have all the items in description. We chose Cracker Barrel for a family members Birthday. Ugg. With all the chaos, our waitress did the best she could to care for us. She was stressed and did the best she could with a good attitude. Hendersonville, TN location receives 1 STAR, only because the manager offered to recook my food. I HATE complaining and complainers. Didn’t ask for compensation or a redo. Just wanted the manager to know. It’s his business and Cracker Barrel is a staple in my family since the 70’s. With 3 guests. Each order was a horror in preparation, presentation, taste, and came out cold. As soon as it was placed in front of me I lost my appetite by the way it looked. I pulled hard layers of grits that looked like wall paper with too much glue. Scrambled cheese eggs (extra charge) was basically an omelet with a slice of Kraft cheese slapped on top. The dumplings were one hard hockey puck in the shape of the bowl. The white gravy looked like it fell off the tray and scraped back in and watery. The amazing sausage is cheaper quality. I also noticed there wasn’t any employees over 50 years old. Is that the real problem here? No one cares to work? To read directions, to train the cooks? So disappointed in this tried and true location.

Server was completely lost, received our food 30 minutes later, cold and at different times. Was just the wife and I, and not once did a manager come around or anything, as we were the only ones in the area not eating. We also had to ask for water and received our biscuits after we were done eating. Not only that, it seemed like the server had no training. Disappointed would be an understatement.
