I frequent this place often. I've never had a poor expierence here. I go for the snowncrab. They cook it very well and give a generous portion for the price. The appetizers are also good. Service is average. It's a calm and easy going place. My only complaint is the corn is always overcooked and has an odd spice to it that I'm not a fan of. I just order more potato instead. Nice Place, I like it here
We came in on December 27 about an hour before they closed. There were only 2 other tables. The server was absolutely outstanding! She wasn't even in the slightest bit irritated that we came in so late and gave us great service. The crab legs were abundant and wonderful! The only negative was the busser was insanely loud throwing dishes into the bus tub at the table right next to us. We could also hear the kitchen staff yelling and throwing "F" bombs every other word. My mom is 70 and it was pretty embarrassing.
We ordered an appetizer and two entrees. The tuna dip was the only food I enjoyed. Seemed like food warmed up from Publix. We wasted our money
We were very disappointed in the food! Infant I got sick later. We don't know what's happened but we ate there last October it was delicious! I visited this past October with friends, and it just wasn't as good, but my husband wanted to try .We both regretted it!! No more Crab Trapp for us....
We were wanting a big pile of crab legs and that's exactly what we received!! The 1 1/2 pounds was the perfect amount and for a great price. All sweet meat. Also the calamari was probably ranked third best we’ve had. I would give 5 stars if we had liked our cocktails. We ordered margaritas and another one of their specialty drinks. They all tasted like Kool-aid, very artificial. We much prefer the fresh ingredients used at other local places like The Gulf and Coastal.
Cara did an amazing job waiting on us. We went in on Christmas Eve and the staff was cheerful and attentive. The food? 5 stars is not enough. I am a crab cake snob (the only ones worthy of the name are in Maryland), but theirs rated right up there. The deviled crab is heaven, and my husband’s mahi-mahi is the best we’ve had on this coast, and that is saying something since we’ve been coming down here for 20 years. Do yourself a favor, just go.
