Love this place. It's a great greasy spoon. The food is always very tasteful in the prices are right on. It's usually busy. That might seem to be a problem with some people. But it's just that good. That is that busy. Parking: It's a little cafe. So there's about parking for 35 cars.
We went there today, 3/22, at 1 pm and there was a sign on the door stating they were closing at 1:15 due to the weather. WHAT,,, the streets were bare and parking lot clean, not snowing.did you see a snowflake and panicked? Very disappointed since we were coming from sun prairie. Nothing on your website mentioned.
One of the best remaining greasy spoons in town! (Not that they don't wash their silverware, there's spoons are very clean I can assure you lol) My suggestion is to take a day to slow down one morning, grab some breakfast here made and served by real people who care, instead of supporting a corporation serving McSteam drawer© mystery meat breakfast sandwich with a side of hash browns with perma-crispy© technology? There will definitely be more butter involved with the home cooked family operation, but if it's only once a week is that such a bad thing? I think it's more of a necessary thing! Break the mold and support local, instead of supporting a company posting record-breaking profits through their absolute exploitation of the COVID crisis when they weren't affected so much but they definitely raised their prices as if they were... But hey that's just my opinion, probably.
Fabulous staff, clean, good prices. Food was what you'd expect from a cafe, not amazing but good. My salad was all iceberg, but my chicken was cooked better than anywhere else I've ever had. Atmosphere is dated and crowded, but there is a reason it's crowded, it's worth it. Would go back again, and bring friends and family.
Staff unfriendly and my order was not correct. The manager was unwilling to fix it without charging me more money. Very disappointed.
