Has this closed for ever? Used to be my favorite place in Boston. Unbeatable puddings.

The Oggie is truly incredible. The pastry was beautifully flaky, the beef was tender, and the red wine gravy was a perfect accompaniment. As far as the portion goes, one pasty and a side is perfect for two. The people were friendly too. Honestly can't recommend it enough.

-2 stars for the exorbitant price hikes, and another -1 star for the lack of professionalism displayed by the person replying to honest feedback. So you want people to compare your prices to other restaurants in the area? Sure thing: You can get entrees with sides at nearby restaurants like Cafe Sauvage, Casa Romero, La Voile, Sonsei, Buttermilk and Bourbon (just to name a few) for less than a $29 traditional pasty that comes with no sides. Better yet, let's compare prices to your Phoenix or Las Vegas locations, where a traditional pasty still goes for $12. Last I checked, those places are dealing with inflation and higher food costs as well. And let's be real here, we're not talking about a marbled rib-eye steak or fatty tuna from a high-end sushi restaurant. We're talking about a *pasty*, a decidedly blue-collar dish and England's answer to an empanada. I strongly suspect this is less about rising food costs and more about the exorbitant rent the restaurant must be paying for that location. Having said all that, the food *is* good here. I used to enjoy getting takeout before they doubled prices. They may have lost my business while I go elsewhere to get more food for less money but hey, if it's within your budget, go for it. (Edit: Pasty: a folded pastry case with a savoury filling, typically of seasoned meat and vegetables. Empanada: a Spanish or Latin American pastry turnover filled with a variety of savory ingredients and baked or fried. Sorry, who's on another planet again?)

As a solo traveller from UK I wanted a taste of home and was not disappointed! Brandon and his team are true stars, not only making me feel at home despite having come alone and regularly checking everything is going well but even giving me some tailored advice for my time in the city! And the food… well go and find out for yourselves!

I used to go to this place all the time when it was 15-20 for a pasty. Now its 30 bucks?!? Thats ridiculous no one in their right mind would say it's honestly worth it. Im bummed out. I hope the prices change
