Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant- Jacksonville

My fiance and I visited to preview their venue for our wedding dinner and we ended up staying for a tasting and lunch. The tasting was great! Our sommelier was very knowledgeable and even gave us a mixture she came up with that was delicious! We ended up joining the wine club right after and were able to reap some of the benefits right away. The food was amazing! Like OMG! Their chicken egg rolls with this sweet salsa that I’ve never had before makes you want to curse! The burger tasted like a VIP Big Mac. But, for those who don’t eat Big Macs…it just tastes like the best burger you’ve ever remembered, experienced, or dreamt about lol. The Southern fried chicken sandwhich was so good it was still good cold. The bartender also created us a bomb cocktail with the wines we had just tasted. Let me not forget the purchasable items, which I wanted all of them. Their wine scented candles smell lovely. I hope you get to experience what we did! We can’t wait for our wedding dinner here!

Awesome place!

We come here regularly when we shop in the area. We walked in at 4:00 last Saturday and went to get a table. Now, we do like the food, the wine, and the waiters/waitresses are always good. However, they always play games with seating, make you wait while the hostesses talk with each other, pretend you're not there, like it's fine dining. Mind you the restaurant is usually empty as we typically arrive the same time. Last Saturday though, we asked for a table, they asked if we had a reservation, we said no (who makes a reservation for 4:00???), which prompted eye rolling from the hostess and then we were told to leave, as they were "at capacity". We were not offered to put our names down and wait, nothing, we were politely told to be gone. They did say we could sit in the bar but that was full. As we walked to the bar to check, we saw that the restaurant was empty. The attitude and just negative demeanor was really off putting, almost snobbish, we would have no problem with waiting. I have never been told to leave at any restaurant, what a disappointing experience.

Food, service and atmosphere were nice. The price was a little much for the type of food establishment. Wine was tasty! Pretty loud with the tasting room being full.

The food & service is really great! Clint, our waiter, was amazing & provided excellent service. Everything was seasoned to taste.

The food was great, I had great service and enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere. Great place to go!
