Gumbo bomb fried turkey wings bomb kool-aid bomb
The food is great, but pricey. It takes a while for the food to be ready after ordering, so be prepared for limited parking and endless patience. Call ahead! The place is set up for to-go orders. They do have seating, but it is outdoors and only a few tables. Do not expect to enjoy a meal at this place. Many of the items on the menu weren't ready/available so ASK what they do have before ordering. Also, the lunch pricing for some items have limited options for side dishes. The staff was courteous and nice about answering questions. Try: The Mac and Cheese, Fried fish, Baked chicken Skip: Fried Chicken, Greens, Rice and Gravy
I went there a few days ago I had oxtails and yams it was great
I ordered the gumboPretty good better tasting Around the hood
Must try food is delicious
Went there for the first time and ordered a turkey wing dinner and one extra side. Total was $41. Received my food and thought and felt like I had a lunch special. The portions were extremely small. Mac and cheese looked like it was boxed. 2 spoonfuls of greens and yams. Was definitely not worth $41. Should have gone to Dulan’s where I would have gotten $41 worth of food. And for $42’gwce the smallest corn bread roll. All places I’ve gone to would at least give you 2 rolls. Not worth $41. Would never go back.
The fried shrimp were really good. The fries were fresh. The catfish po boy was super long. 2 people could share it. The only thing is the fish was a little salty, and the bread was too wet for me & it was also chewy. They put too much sauce on stale bread. They do have a couple of tables and chairs to sit down. You have the option to park on the street if you can or in the shared parking lot where the market is. Parking is limited. The service was whatever. It wasn't bad, but I wasn't impressed either. If I were to go back, I would try their yams, greens, and fried chicken. It did look good when someone else ordered it. I also ordered the Mama Rose Kool-Aid. I was not a fan. (My mom ordered banana pudding and the fried chicken)
