I don’t think it was enough food but most of the dishes were great. We didn’t do the wine pairing but we had some great wine the sommelier recommended.

Sad to hear it's closing. The 9 course meal was superb! We could eat the bread literrally for all 9 courses though. Service could not be better. They even explained all of the dishes and wine we ordered. Thanks for a wonderful night

Pity that I only tried this restaurant in its last week. The dishes were all very good, with just enough elements to be interesting, but not so many to be overwhelming. Everything was creative but still unfussy, which is a nice change of pace from a lot of other fine dining restaurants.

Contra has been a fun culinary experience in general. Always interesting flavor combinations with cool plating. Glad we got a last taste before they close.

Well, definitely tasteless. We could eat better if we paid $150. Not enough portion and not much protein. I know better tofu. Where did they get that tasteless tofu? I'm Japanese so I was so disappointed. But serving was fine.

메뉴 하나하나 창의적으로 재료들을 새로운 방식으로 조리하여 내준다. 동양적인 색채가 꽤나 눈에 띄었고, 전체적으로 준수하게 맛있었다. 와인 페어링도 대체로 좋아서 더욱 만족스러웠던 한 끼.

Nice ambience and place. However this place is scamming people. A standard glass of wine is 5 oz and here the bartender with a small pony pours 2.5 oz! Not okay for a 20 dollar glass. And not honest business

How this place has a michelin star is baffling to me. 830 res sat us at 850. Ok. 9 course "greatest hits menu" was neither great nor a hit. 4/9 courses were palatable. The rest were just criminal. For 500$ after tax and tip for 2 people and we both left hungry and beyond underwhelmed. Items on the menu out of season. I'm here for small tasting portions, but this was ridiculous. Dessert here should've been illegal. Underripened watermelon on 1 and unbalanced earthy figs on the other. Each dish is lacking in seasoning. Service was so slow that I almost fell asleep between courses. For a restaurant that boasts a michelin star and only has 17 tables, I need to feel the love in these dishes and service. Large raw, unripened tomato as its own course? Did I offend you in some way to deserve this punishment? Soft shell crab in mid-September was so bad it should've stayed in the freezer to be given a fair chance next summer. The pork loin was good, compared to the rest. Wish it had some crispy skin or any crunch/texture at all . Was a very 1 noted dish. They all were... The Jimmy Nardello tart was super tasty! But my partner and I had to share a half of a tart? C'mon. Is the food cost that high? Each dish was so small and nothing of value no foie or duck or beef at all.....& The eclairs for dessert weren't even the same size/shape...SMH.
