Commonwealth Tavern

I really want to like Commonwealth but the food and service is always inconsistent. Their owner was also rude to a friend of mine who was wearing Sox gear. If someone I’m with really wants to go here, I’ll go but IMO there are much better bars in Roscoe Village that I’d rather spend my money at than Commonwealth.

everything I’ve ordered from here has been delicious! plus they have an awesome staff, outdoor seating and plentiful indoor seating, and they host events as well. excellent neighborhood spot!

Commonwealth is a really fun place to watch sports. They have TV's in every direction. Matt was very gracious to us and made sure we had a great experience. Our waitress was top notch as well. Will definitely go back and highly recommend checking it out. They have a pretty good beer selection and the food was very tasty.

Commonwealth Tavern is a great combination of outstanding beverages and exceptional food for a sports bar. We had a slight issue with our reservation for a sporting event but Matt and his team went above and beyond and found a solution. Matt's team is exceptional at customer service and they are extremely hard working and well coordinated across the servers, runners, bartenders and the kitchen staff. Matt leads a great team and you see this throughout your experience. The food was outstanding from the turkey burgers, hamburgers through to the salads. I would highly recommend Commonwealth Tavern as a destination for drinking and dining. Dietary restrictions: The kitchen was very attentive to a dietary restriction and executed it flawlessly.

We LOVE this place!!! GREAT food, service and neighbor vibe! We go at least once a week!
