Not a bad experience for Sunday supper. You always know what you are going to get with a Boyce restaurant. Though after eating at places like purveyor and poppy, the visits to Boyce’s restaurants begs for some new fresh ingredients and menus. Will continue my patronage and support his restaurants!
After thumbing through several menus and reviews of recommended restaurants in HSV, we decided to reserve a table here. We were notified that our table was ready 30 minutes prior to our reso time, and we were greeted and seated immediately upon arrival. The interior design was modern, tasteful, not too busy. The restaurant itself was lively but quiet enough to have an intimate dining experience. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly, prompt, and did not miss with his recommendations. We ordered cornmeal fried oysters, bourbon/cola braised brisket, and a coffee crusted NY strip. Phenomenal, all of it. Cocktails included. Everything was also reasonably priced in regard to comparable establishments in town.Commerce Kitchen is a damn fine representation of Southern cuisine. Can’t wait to return on a weekend to try out the brunch menu.
Excellent high end lunch & dinner spot - the wait staff is always very attentive. Many unique offerings at a high quality!
Brussel sprouts & fried green tomatoes are phenomenal. Excellent serving staff & environment.
We went with high expectations, the reception was quite casual, the starter was battered oysters, which lacked flavor, as seen in the photo, the sauce they put on it is little and that is what makes everything good as a whole flavor. The carrot soup with ginger was a little cold, but very good.My husband ordered a fish that was fine, nothing different.Unfortunately I ordered a New York Strip cut and that was the worst mistake, I don't know if the meat was frozen or the beef was very old, but it couldn't even be cut, when we told the waiter, he told us that because of the cut it is that it presents that problem, so my husband asked them to cook it a little longer and it still ended up burnt, the meat still could not be split and/or chewed. The desserts are not even ordered from the store.Over price and poor service.Better go to the Cotton Row Restaurant, it's worth every dollar you pay.
Western omelet was very good. Service was excellent.
Incredible! The bloody's are some of the best. I ordered the fried green tomato egg benedict and it did not disappoint.
Street tacos were excellent.
Delicious food served in a quaint downtown setting. The shrimp and grits were delicious!
